iCapital is hiring a Senior Accountant to join the Corporate Finance team. This role will involve Accounting responsibilities, such as month end close duties, assisting with the preparation of budgets/forecasts, & consolidation of financial reports. 

Due to COVID-19, this role will be remote until further notice. The location of the role will be based in Greenwich, CT once we reopen. 

Responsibilities

• Overseeing A/P & A/R functions relating to various revenue sources & associated trail commissions
  • Prepare analysis related to company balance sheet & changes in accounts
  • Ensure accuracy of receivables & payables
  • Review for write offs quarterly

• Assisting with month-end close process on a day-to-day basis including:

• Preparing journal entries & balance sheet reconciliations
• Preparing monthly cash reconciliations & preparation of journal entries for various legal entities
• Assisting with the maintenance of all records & accounting files
• Maintenance of financial reporting schedules
• Calculating revenue & trails associated with specified client groups & revenue sources
• Assisting in preparation of monthly management & board financial packages including consolidation of financial statements, actual versus budget variance analysis & compilation of Company KPI reports
• Identifying & remediating process gaps & implementing effective internal controls; Improve documentation of internal control processes
• Liaising with external auditors, tax preparer & other 3^rd party service providers/clients
• Assisting in completing special projects as needed such as implementation of new accounting software

Candidate Profile

• 7+ years of Corporate Accounting experience within the Financial Services industry. Familiarity with Feeder Fund structure or Fund Accounting experience would be highly preferred.
• Familiarity with NetSuite preferred but not required
• Knowledge of booking journal entries & consolidation of financial statements required
• Degree in Accounting required
• CPA license preferred
• Proficient with Excel & Power Point
• Ability to manage large sets of data & be able to implement checks & balances
• Excellent oral & written communication skills
• Detailed oriented with big picture capability
