What youll be responsible for:

The Onboarding Analyst will be the main point of contact for companies preparing to raise with SeedInvest, actively managing all activities related to deal onboarding & launching investment opportunities on the platform. Those activities include working directly with companies to structure their offering, complete their offering materials, perform confirmatory due diligence, & complete other operational tasks needed to launch the campaign on the platform. As an Analyst, you'll be expected to be excellent at building relationships with & stewarding companies through the Onboarding Process.

What you'll work on:

  • Project Management:
    • Quarterbacking execution of company onboarding & fundraise preparation, including cross-functional deal team management & the setting & managing of timelines, responsibilities, & deliverables throughout the process.
    • Managing multiple complex projects simultaneously under tight timelines.
    • Defining & iterating on operational processes.
  • Due Diligence:
    • Performing confirmatory due diligence on companies that have applied to raise on the platform.
    • Conducting thorough reviews of company-offering materials to comply with FINRA & SEC rules.
  • Relationship Management:
    • Communicating, establishing & maintaining relationships, & working actively with entrepreneurs, third-party service providers, & people across the entire SeedInvest team.

What you'll bring to Circle:

  • BA/BS degree required.
  • Demonstrated project management & timeline management skills.
  • 1+ years of experience with a startup, investment bank, law firm, or another regulated industry.
  • Confidence in speaking with C-level executives, founders, & management teams, with an ability to quickly build trusting relationships.
  • Extraordinary communication skills, both written & verbal.
  • Creative thinking, solution-orientation when presented with complex problems.
  • Proficiency in Google Suite, Slack, & AppleMacOS preferred.

Extra credit if:

  • J.D. or CPA experience.
  • SIE, Series 82, & Series 63 licenses (if not already licensed, you must be prepared to take exams within 2-3 months of joining).

Location: While our HQ is the internet, ideally this candidate is based in the East Coast time zone. Candidates should be aware that the majority of the team is based in the NYC & Miami areas & that the workday is scheduled around the East Coast time zone.

More about the Onboarding Team at SeedInvest:

The Onboarding Team at SeedInvest is responsible for preparing companies for a successful fundraising campaign. The Onboarding Team sits between the Venture & Venture Growth teams at SeedInvest, taking ownership of the relationship with the company once we at SeedInvest & the company have mutually agreed to work together on the companys fundraising campaign; the Onboarding team hands off that relationship to the Venture Growth team once the company is fully ready to launch their campaign on SeedInvest. We are the main point of contact for entrepreneurs as they prepare their fundraising campaigns & onboard onto the SeedInvest platform & the teams responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Completing legal due diligence on the organization, corporate structure & ownership, people behind the company.
  • Completing confirmatory due diligence on information provided to our Deal Committee & investors
  • Assisting in the drafting & compliance review of key statements throughout offering materials
  • Compiling & presenting confirmatory due diligence & fact checking findings for internal review & approval
  • Managing the Financial Statement review or audit process with the external CPA
  • Liaising between internal & external legal teams to finalize offering documents
  • Drafting & reviewing documents to be filed with the SEC & FINRA

As project managers, it is our job to help entrepreneurs understand the onboarding process, execute tasks, & manage timelines, responsibilities, & deliverables throughout the process. Furthermore, the team constantly interacts & aligns with multiple stakeholders to quarterback the onboarding process, including:

  1. Founders of the company
  2. Management & other key persons at the company
  3. Board members of the company
  4. CPAs (3rd party or internal) to the company
  5. Legal Counsel (3rd party or internal) to the company
  6. Venture Team at SeedInvest
  7. Venture Growth Team at SeedInvest
  8. Capital Markets Team at SeedInvest
  9. Legal & Compliance Team at SeedInvest

Lastly, the Onboarding Team is responsible for owning the company onboarding process & owns certain KPIs that feed directly to the success of SeedInvest:

  1. Maximizing deal launches
  2. Minimizing deal churn
  3. Minimizing onboarding duration
