We are looking for a dynamic, energetic & driven Business Analyst to join our fast-paced & rapidly expanding Finance organization. You will play a critical role in configuring our financial systems & designing our business processes to help us scale efficiently. Our ideal candidate enjoys developing a deep understanding of business processes & operating models, & can figure out how to map those to technical solutions. You will document requirements & implement changes to our financial systems. You should be a self-directed problem solver & be able to adjust to a fast-paced & constantly changing environment.

At Compass You Will:

  • Develop an understanding of our strategic vision & business priorities
  • Collaborate with Finance & Accounting, Product & Engineering to define detailed business requirements & configure our financial systems to meet those requirements
  • Participate in major cross-functional efforts, such as product launches & strategic planning, that pull together team members from departments including Strategic Growth, Agent Operations, Marketing, Finance, Product & Engineering
  • Work with cross-organizational stakeholders to promote adoption of the processes & technologies to ensure quality, accuracy & usability of our financial systems
  • Assists in formulating & defining project & systems scope & objectives
  • Assist in performing data validation & reconciliation to ensure completeness & accuracy of data & reporting
  • Ensure system readiness & availability through close, budget, & forecast cycles
  • Assist in developing business processes, documentation & training materials
  • Provide end-user training & support, including onboarding new users

What We Are Looking For:

  • Experience configuring business requirements in ERP applications
  • Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, Information Technology or Computer Science
  • Strong knowledge of office applications including Word, Excel & Powerpoint
  • Basic knowledge in generating process documentation
  • Familiar with GAAP accounting, handling sensitive data, & SOX compliance
  • Experience with business intelligence tools & an intermediate knowledge of SQL
  • Experience with the following systems is preferred: NetSuite, Adaptive Planning, Concur, Coupa, SalesForce, & Tableau
  • Strong communication & organizational skills, & impeccable attention to detail
  • Self-starter, positive attitude, zero ego, & ability to problem-solve with minimal supervision
  • Team player with strong analytical & project management skills
  • Ability to manage multiple simultaneous tasks within an open & interactive environment
  • Exceptional organization techniques
  • Proactive, always seeking additional responsibility
  • Demonstrated ability to improve processes & procedures
