We are looking for a Reporting Data Analyst to join our growing Analytics team working with all aspects of regulatory & compliance reporting.  You will work with Engineering, Compliance & regulatory stakeholders to ensure that reports produce accurate, timely results.

Everyone on our team has a part to play

  • Assist the FanDuel Group Tax Department with a wide variety of tax planning projects across all of the lines of business within both US operating groups
  • Drive key elements of the annual income tax compliance process
  • Assist with the tax provisioning process
  • Assist with defending against all kinds of tax audits & assist with filing voluntary disclosure agreements across all tax types
  • Conduct tax research & draft issue memos under the direction of the FanDuel Group Tax Department
  • Build/refine multifaceted tax workpapers & financial models under the direction of the FanDuel Group Tax Department
  • Own the daily fantasy sports tax reporting process
  • Co-own the informational reporting & withholding processes (i.e. 1099, 1042, & W-2G reporting) with a focus on improving the customer experience
  • Assist with the sports wagering tax reporting processes
  • Oversee the sales tax reporting process
  • Own a variety of ancillary tax processes (e.g. business property taxes, local business tax filings, etc.)
  • Co-own the tax notice resolution process
  • Work closely with the international tax team at Flutter Entertainment
  • Work closely with the FanDuel Tax Department to identify & implement potential process improvements across the entire tax function
  • Manage relationships with the other internal business functions & our outside tax consultants
  • Liaise with international, federal, state, & local taxing authorities

What we're looking for in our next teammate  

  • Bachelors Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or another similar business field
  • 2+ years of professional experience working with corporate income tax compliance & tax planning (preferably Big-4 experience or a combination of Big-4 & private experience)
  • Professional experience with tax provisioning, income tax auditing, and/or GAAP financial reporting is preferred
  • CPA certification is highly preferred (must be in-pursuit at a minimum)
  • Advanced Excel skills are required
  • Must have a strong desire to learn about new areas of tax, tax provisioning & GAAP financial reporting, & the gaming regulatory environment (via direction from the FanDuel Group Tax Department & continuing professional education courses)   
  • Must be a self-starter with the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
  • Must be data driven with the ability to bring strong analytical rigor to decision-making with a focus on getting the right answer
  • Excellent organizational skills & time/project management skills are required
  • Excellent written & verbal communication skills are required
  • Professional experience in the sports or gaming industries is a major plus
