Team Lead, Audience Strategy - CRM

Squarespace is looking for a segmentation expert who will leverage data insights & market intelligence to size opportunities & craft high performing acquisition/retention programs. As the pioneering leader of this team, you will define customer segments, identify key conversion triggers & oversee promotions/marketing reinvestment. You will maintain the testing agenda & ensure experiments are measurable & actionable. The Team Lead, Audience Strategy will know the customer data in & out & play a critical role in guiding the data engineering roadmap. This is an impactful opportunity for a smart, dedicated & passionate marketer who is ready to put their experience to work building out & growing an exciting arm of the Squarespace Marketing Team.

This role reports into the Head of CRM in New York.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Craft & implement effective CRM & retention strategies to increase engagement with new & existing customers across promotional, transactional, lifecycle, triggered & loyalty campaigns
  • Partner with Analytics stakeholders to assess campaign performance & make recommendations
  • Lead promotional strategy, & create testing & implementation plans
  • Work with Finance & MA to coordinate on logic & projections
  • Define core customer segments for the business & associated paths to conversion
  • Partner with the Analytics team & leaders across the organization to meet/exceed growth projections
  • Lead & grow a high performing team of up-and-coming marketers
  • Ensure CRM strategy supports larger marketing & business objectives, maintaining a consistent brand experience across all channels
  • Work with counterparts in Legal to ensure global compliance of customer contact & promotions initiatives

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 8-10+ years digital marketing experience, with demonstrated success delivering complex multi-channel CRM campaigns
  • Deep experience in marketing, customer, & financial analysis
  • A preference for structured, data-driven approaches to business questions
  • The ability to distill complex questions & to reconcile conflicting views in pursuit of testable changes
  • Strong communication skills across disciplines, from analysts & engineers to creatives & media buyers
  • Experience managing & growing a team of direct reports
  • Passion for the Squarespace product & user experience, & a desire to be a champion for the brand
  • Strong quantitative, strategic, & data visualization skills
  • Experience using ESP and/or CRM platforms
  • Experience promotions platforms
  • Familiarity with relational databases; Proficiency in SQL preferred
  • Well versed in domestic & international email compliance laws including CAN-SPAM, CASL & GDPR
  • Experience using multiple channels (email, web, push, in-app messaging, & digital media) to communicate to customer base
