Your Impact

Handshake is hiring a Senior Student Product Designer working on our job & event search surface areas. Along with job search, this squad is dedicated to getting smarter about students & pairs closely with Data Science. In order to successfully match students with opportunities, we need to better understand who they are & their preferences. Your designs will help us be more intentional about what we collect, continue to use behavioral data to augment that & ensure that students understand the value of Handshake through stronger personalization.

Your Role

• Work from concept to delivery to inform product strategy & shape students career discovery experience.
• Partner with product, research, & engineering to ensure projects are well defined, high impact, & successfully executed.
• Develop & improve a shared product design language across all student surfaces reflective of our brand.
• Up level the entire team through commitment to growth & mentorship

Your Experience

• Demonstrated experience leading design on consumer products across web & mobile.
• Familiarity with human centered/user centered design methodology & techniques
• Experience working with engineers & product managers to drive strategy, vision, & execution
• A collaborative, no ego, approach to working with others
• A portfolio of impeccably executed consumer product design
• University degree in Human-Computer Interaction, Human Centered Design, Sociology, Psychology, Information Science, Computer Science, or equivalent experience
