DSP VERIFICATION ENGINEER (SILICON ENGINEERING)

Starlink has been building the worlds largest constellation of satellites to provide internet to billions of underserved people & bring the world closer together. The Starlink Silicon Team is seeking motivated, proactive, & intellectually curious engineers who can work with world-class cross-disciplinary teams (systems, firmware, architecture, design, validation, product engineering). In this role, you will develop scalable & re-usable verification environments & test cases to verify a wide range of cutting-edge next-generation ASIC & FPGA designs. The ideal candidate will be a hands-on self-starter who can execute the steps required to fully verify complex digital designs.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Responsible for digital ASIC and/or FPGA verification at block & system level
  • Write & review test plans, develop test harnesses & test sequences
  • Responsible for test plan execution, running regressions, code & functional coverage closure
  • Contribute towards pre-silicon verification, chip bring-up & post-silicon validation
  • Be a hands-on self-starter who can execute the steps required to fully verify a complex digital designs

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelors degree in electrical engineering or computer engineering
  • Experience with design verification & test bench development

PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Advanced degree in electrical engineering or computer engineering
  • Strong object-oriented programming knowledge
  • Strong problem-solving & coding skills
  • Experience with scripting languages, e.g. Python or MATLAB
  • Experience with developing test plans & analyzing results
  • Knowledge of digital signal processing and/or communication systems
  • Knowledge of various digital signal processing blocks, e.g. digital filters, modems, FFT, etc.
  • Experience with verification methodologies such as UVM
  • Experience in constrained random verification
  • Experience doing RTL design, chip bring-up, & post-silicon validation
  • Ability to work in a dynamic environment with changing needs & requirements

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • This role can be based in Irvine, CA, Mountain View, CA, or Redmond, WA
