The Cloud SDR Manager will be integral to launching a global technical SDR team. This team will focus on early stage adoption of Confluent Cloud, through qualifying, unblocking & enabling our customers. The Cloud SDRs are billed as junior solution engineers” & the leader will be tasked with molding these future stars to empower Confluent customers & excite our prospects. The role is the first of its kind at Confluent (not to mention innovative within the industry) & therefore will require a hands-on leader with a growth mindset as we iterate our way to a best-in-class team. This role straddles sales & marketing & provides the opportunity to work cross functionally with Product, DevX & Product Marketing to shape cloud go-to-market strategy for the company. Aside from the excitement of the building part of the role, an effective Cloud SDR Manager will build trusted advisor relationships with sales teams, customers, & partners. This person will sometimes be asked to be a player-coach, therefore they will need to possess or develop the relevant technical skills & understanding of the business to be successful.
