Currently were looking for a Team Lead for our Data Extraction Team!

The Data Extraction team is one of the core teams in Similarwebs data acquisition operation. As a team lead, you will lead a team of Backend/Data engineers who will be the owners of some of the companys core datasets. The team will be responsible for the entire lifecycle of collecting data from various sources, such as web scraping, API integrations, & data partnerships. As part of your role, you will work with multiple different stakeholders in R&D to identify data needs, define data requirements, productionize the extraction process, & deliver quality data to your consumers.

The team is part of a growing & expanding domain, presenting the opportunity to take part in some of the companys future projects.

What you will do:

• Lead a Growing Team: Manage & prioritize the work of the engineers in your team, assigning them to different projects & deliveries. 
• Design Data Pipelines: Engineer data pipelines using state-of-the-art technologies. 
• Analyze Requirements: Collaborate with product managers & other teams to analyze product requirements & plan roadmaps.
• Hands-on Involvement: Actively participate in your teams projects.
• Innovate: Engage in thinking groups, create innovative POCs, & discover new technologies & data sources.
• Communicate: Represent your teams datasets & capabilities to other stakeholders in the company.
• Develop Skills: Mentor & provide feedback to help your team members develop their skills & career paths at Similarweb. 

What Were Looking For:

• Backend Development Experience: 5+ years of experience in software backend development using big-data technologies (e.g. MapReduce, Spark, Hive, etc).
• Project Leadership: 2+ years of experience leading data engineering projects.
• Cloud Infrastructure: Experience with cloud infrastructure such as AWS or GCP.
• Strong Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills.
• Agile Methodology: Experience in Agile development methodology.
