What's it all about?
Contract Management is a business essential function responsible for the management of all sales agreements over the end-to-end client incentive process.
The Senior Contract Specialist will be a subject matter expert on client agreements & will partner with various stakeholders at both Visa & Clients in developing & managing legally binding agreements & contracts from approved financial proposals.
This person will be an advocate for the Visa's sales organisation (e.g., Financial Institution Sales, & Merchant Acceptance) while working closely with Finance, Legal & Audit.
The role holder will report to the Lead Contract Specialist.
What we expect of you, day to day.
You will manage the drafting, reviews & negotiation on a wide range of client agreements including but not limited to:
Identifying IFR, competition & other regulatory issues relating to client agreements, you will take the lead to ensure resolution & where necessary engage with members of the Legal & Regulatory Division
You will identify the need for legal advice & engage appropriate members of the Legal team on a range of legal issues regarding client agreements
Working with other Visa departments across the globe, you will ensure agreements accurately reflect business needs & policies as they develop
You will be responsible for management of day-to-day client agreement queries taking the lead on all relevant contract management activities
You will manage, develop & maintain relationships to facilitate the effective delivery of legal advice & assistance
Providing training to identified business areas, on agreement structures, processes & policies
You will proactively contribute to the development of client agreement templates ensuring cohesion, consistency in clauses, & the general efficiency & effectiveness of the whole agreement
What we're after
Law degree or Bachelor's in a business, economics, or related field, or hold equivalent professional experience
Previous commercial/contract drafting experience required
Ability to work well with management & leaders across various functions throughout Visa
Excellent written & verbal communication skills in English
Manages well under pressure & tight deadlines
Strong attention to detail & ability to multi-task & manage multiple caseloads
Proven ability to work independently
