Merchant & Acquirer Processing (MAPPD) is a globally-distributed division of1000 team members within Visa's Technology & Operations organization. We are the innovation engine behind the merchant solutions platforms, CyberSource & Authorize.Net.
The Program Manager is responsible for ensuring that MAPPD's programs & projects are planned, managed, & governed in a consistent, transparent, & disciplined manner. The position requires an experienced program management professional with the right mix of relevant experience & skills, an ability to flex between the strategic & the tactical, outstanding verbal & written communication skills, & a high level of energy & flexibility to get things done & thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented product development environment. S(he) will be a program management leader who embodies Visa's leadership principles of leading by example, communicating openly, enabling & inspiring others, exceling with partners, acting decisively, & collaborating effectively.
The ideal candidate will:
Be accountablefor the end-to-end planning & execution of one or more projects and/orAgile teams
Askthoughtful questions to help our customers, product owners, & product managers to maximize ROI & meet company objectives.
Understand productstrategy & benefits of key deliverables in his/herarea of responsibility
Workwith product owner to promote & contribute to the improvement of theproduct backlog
Facilitatesprint planning, backlog grooming, daily stand-up meetings, reviews/demos, retrospectives, & other scrum ceremonies
Facilitatediscussion & conflict resolution
Coachthe team in estimation techniques
Trackand remove impediments for the team
Set goals & developmetrics & reports using Rally to help the team understand its health & progress
Coachteam members to understand Scrum & the Agile Principles
Ensureclear communication & collaboration among the Product Owner & members
of the Development organization
Identifybusiness analysis deliverables for projects & manage their execution
Managethe communication of new services, tracking effectiveness, & leveraging
multiple channels for an effective message.
Successfullyengage in multiple initiatives simultaneously
Driveand challenge technology owners on their assumptions of how they will successfully execute their plans
Collaboratewith developers & subject matter experts to establish the technical vision & analyze tradeoffs between usability & performance needs
Liaisebetween the business units, technology teams & support teams to ensure clear communications among stakeholders
Participatein solution reviews to assess user experience to identify usability impacts & recommend solutions or processes to mitigate impacts
Become a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in two or more technical areas to be able to develop & manage communications & interactions with end users
Be a change agent, ensuring users embrace new & innovative technology
7-10 years of work experience & a Bachelor's Degree or 6 years of work experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 3 years of experience with a PhD.
Deep knowledgeof Agileframework (User Stories, Continuous Integration,
TDD, Continuous Delivery, Pairing, Automated Testing)
Good prioritization, negotiation & communication skills
Strong written & oral communication skills
Ability to work independently with light supervision
Proficient in at least one agile project management tool: Rally, Jira,
Version One, etc.
Certified Scrum Master (CSM), Certified Scrum Professional (CSP), or
Professional Scrum Master (PSM
