This position is responsible for growing our market presence in Brazil & the LATAM region.

You have an extensive network of contacts including experts in genomics, personalized medicine & oncology & are adept at engaging leading clinicians & policy makers to support your commercial, clinical & reimbursement goals.
Your scientific knowledge enables you to deliver technical presentations to customers & engage with leading clinicans to further develop the evidence base for Guardant's services.
You have experience with regional strategy planning & delivering annual tactical plans for the LATAM region
You have experience working effectively with international teams & with cross-functional teams to ensure project execution & smooth operations in a variety of countries
Responsibilities for Commercial Director
Develop the vision, objectives & overall international market entry strategy for Brazil & selected other countries in South & Central America in partnership with the Guardant management team.
Develop & execute operational plans to drive market access & business growth.
Manage contracts, revenue, margins & expense goals for the region.
Quickly identify a set of priority opportunities & move fast to capitalise on them & demonstrate success.
Work with established channel partners to develop & execute effective multi-channel marketing mix to launch/increase commercial volume in selected countries
Identify new channel partners & work with global & regional colleagues to establish relationships & operationalize parterships effectively.
Identify & develop advocates & work in partnership with them to achieve market access & clinical adoption goals
Prepare & submit dossiers for technology assessment & service reimbursement
Collaborate with global & regional colleagues to develop the internal structures & processes necessary to support business growth
Create competitive advantage by understanding & addressing customer needs; evaluating competitor strategies; identifying & solving problems; & leveraging product, service & clinical evidence strengths
Partner with regional management & global finance to manage financial aspects of the international business including budgeting, forecasting, billing & collections.
Develop & maintain strategic alliances & high-level relations with key stakeholders including: industry, government, health systems, health technology assessment bodies, patient groups, academia & thought leaders
Serve serving as a key member of the regional management team, ensuring South American market needs & objectives are represented & met
Partner with BioPharma Business Development team to identify & expand commercial opportunities with Pharma & Biotech companies in the LATAM region.
Be a passionate & effective advocate for the clinical use of genomics in cancer & drive transformation of cancer care to incorporate advanced diagnostic profiling

Qualifications & Experience:
Degree in a scientific field of study BS, MS, Ph.D., closely related to genetics, genomics, & molecular biology strongly preferred.
An advanced degree in a relevant discipline is also a significant advantage.
Minimum of 8 to 10 years years of healthcare experience in the diagnostic, pharmaceutical, or biotech industries including clinical sales, business development & / or medical affairs
Existing broad network of clinical & payer relationships in oncology (lung, colon, GI cancers) within the country.
In depth knowledge of precision oncology, molecularly targeted therapies, genomic alterations in different cancers, comprehensive genomic profiling & liquid biopsy through continuous & self-directed learning
Results oriented, self-starter with superior interpersonal communication & presentation skills, excellent sales skills including listening, negotiating, & closing deals.
Open & flexible, eager to work in a team, enthusiastic & interested in sharing experiences & thoughts to achieve the company's goals.
Strict adherence to relevant national codes of practice, company SOPs, laws & regulations.
Strong problem-solving skills, good attention to detail, time management skills & personal initiative.
Outstanding oral presentation skills with fluency in English, Spanish & Portuguese
Highly developed written skills, the ability to produce documents for dissemination both inside & outside the organization for presentations, technical briefs & scientific publications.
Extensive travel in & between countries to visit client sites & attend business meetings, training & other company & customer events in the international region.
Previous experience growing & leading an international team in Brazil for a US based company
High level of flexibility, adaptability & international work experience required, accustomed to work in fast-paced environment.
