Hi, we're Oscar. We're hiring a Manager to join our Southeast P&L team.

About the role:

At Oscar, we are working to provide the kind of health insurance we would want for ourselves. Our team uses a data-driven approach to build strategies to grow revenue, improve profitability, & provide outstanding experiences for customers in Southeast Individual & Family Plan (IFP) & Medicare Advantage (MA) markets.

As a Manager on the Southeast P&L team, you will work with our Network, Business, Medical Cost Management, Sales, Legal, Actuarial, Corporate Development, Product, & Service teams to maximize total enterprise value of the region. This includes launching new products & optimizing the performance of products within Oscar's existing Southeast portfolio of markets.

You will report to the Southeast Market Director. This is a remote role, you will work remotely in one of the following states: Texas, Florida, George, New York, or Tennessee. Note, this list of states is subject to change.

Responsibilities:

  • Build custom playbooks for developing existing markets & launching new markets within the region, including network & value-based care strategies
  • Develop KPIs, systems, & processes for measuring success of those playbooks & deploy strategies to adjust approach along the way
  • Intimately understand the provider (system, physician), consumer, & IFP/MA payer landscape across the Southeast & promote how those dynamics impact product, network design, & growth decisions
  • Work with senior executives & external partners to design & implement products & development strategies for the region

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree or commensurate experience
  • 7+ years of experience in management consulting, corporate strategy, private equity or investment banking

Bonus points:

  • Healthcare experience, particularly in Value Based Care, & an understanding of provider/payer market is strongly preferred
  • 1+ years of experience managing an employee and/or team
  • MBA or other advanced degree
