Were looking for a strong leader with broad & deep experience to join us as a Director of Engineering at Index Exchange. In this role you will set vision for & oversee one or more of our product delivery units, which means leading, motivating, growing & improving a set of Engineering Teams & Engineering Managers as they deliver incremental business value that has a direct impact on revenue, & therefore on the companys success.
Youll be working with a talented Engineering organization to enhance & improve a software platform that handles over 60 billion requests everyday with extremely low latency, & youll be working with a great leadership team to improve how we make it all happen.

Communication: As a leader you need to provide consistent & steady feedback to your team both positive & constructively critical. To do this, you have experience using the right kinds of metrics in the right way. You will also need to keep all stakeholders & the leadership team well informed.
Agile Environment: You have experience in a truly Agile environment, which means going way beyond process & understanding & living the values that make Agile work
Multitasking: As a leader, you will have the opportunity to lead multiple concurrent initiatives. We want someone whos able to juggle more than one thing at a time & know how to prioritize.
Heres What You Have:
- A Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent
- Experience in Ad Tech
- Experience with high volume, low latency distributed systems
- A solid understanding of DevOps
- The ability to work out of either or both of our North York or Downtown Toronto offices
