Booking.com BV is looking for a Team Lead to join the Metasearch Marketing team at our Amsterdam headquarters. An important marketing channel in the travel industry, Metasearch is advertising on comparison websites such as Kayak, Trivago, & TripAdvisor. It combines algorithmic CPC bidding, product development & working closely with other travel brands.

As a Team Lead, you will wear two hats: building & leading a team of motivated & successful marketers as well as being an individual contributor driving an important marketing partnership. The successful candidate is an excellent coach, innovative, is detail-oriented & is motivated by contributing to the overall business. This role is in the Global Metaseach Commercial Team in Performance Marketing which focuses on three categories: 1) relationship management with the largest companies in travel, 2) managing performance, product opportunities & optimizations, & 3) commercial operations.


B.responsible

  • People Management
    • Manage a team of up to 6 marketers, assisting them in partner management, operations & making data-driven decisions
    • Invest in the teams coaching & development with a particular focused on learning & growing their performance marketing knowledge
    • Facilitate the workload allocation for the team & ensure the assigned work is delivered with quality
    • Drive collaboration by building a culture of ownership, respect & learning, cultivating a space where your people can do their best work
    • Encourage innovation, developing creative solutions within digital marketing

  • Key Account Management
    • Day to day management of advertising campaigns on a major meta search website
    • Develop strong working relationships with metasearch partners ensuring new opportunities are identified & appropriately researched, prioritized, & driven
    • Use data to identify & prioritize work that drives value to the team and/or company
    • Work closely with the analytics team to ensure performance targets are met
    • Analyze performance data & translate it into tactics to drive growth for the business while maintaining ROI
    • Partner with internal & external stakeholders from across the globe & across departments

B.skilled

  • 5+ years relevant work experience within e-commerce, travel, consumer services or marketing industries
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in an analytical focused degree such as Marketing, Economics, Engineering, Science, etc.
  • Strong understanding of digital marketing & relevant KPIs
  • Commercially aware to effectively prioritize & make decisions based on business needs
  • Track record of delivering innovative solutions in ambiguous situations
  • Analytical, strategic, humble, entrepreneurial & data-driven
  • Experience managing a team in a growing, fast-paced environment
  • Comfortable interacting throughout the organization & with external partners
  • Exceptional communication & presentation skills
  • Flexibility to accommodate change & thrive amid ambiguity
