 About the Role 

iCapital is seeking a motivated payroll professional to join our growing global Human Resources team. This is a new position which will assist the Global Payroll Services Lead in managing the firms current outsourced payrolls, provide payroll insight & services to employees & partners, & help execute related processes & payroll data management. 

Under the leadership of the Global Payroll Services Lead, & alongside an awesome HR Operations colleague, this position is an outstanding opportunity to grow a career in Payroll on a global level that rewards versatility. In addition to payroll administration, this role also offers the opportunity to collaborate on important HR operations projects in areas that include a new HR/payroll technology platform. 

 Responsibilities 

To be successful in this role, it will be necessary to collaborate with colleagues & partners across departments & geographies to: 

  • Assist with US & Canada outsourced payrolls. 
  • Reconcile all changes that affect pay including salary adjustments, leaves & returns, bonuses & commissions, deductions, & one-time payments such as referral awards, relocation stipends, & severance payments. 
  • Review & finalize timesheets for a small population of US non-exempt employees. 
  • Manage other pay inputs such as garnishments & deduction corrections as needed. 
  • Actively manage the day-to-day relationship with managed services payroll partners, including correspondence, ad-hoc requests, escalation, & troubleshooting. 
  • Assist Global Payroll Services Lead with reconciling & approving payrolls timely & accurately (in partnership with Corporate Finance). 
  • Manage ongoing state employment tax requirements in partnership with our managed services partner.
  • Assist with global year-end processes executed by managed services partners to ensure all are accurate & timely. 
  • Coordinate data for audit responses for periodic internal & external payroll audits & compliance reporting, including 401(k), & Workers Compensation. 
  • Be the secondary point of contact for all payroll-related issues from employees & managed services partner(s). Monitor a payroll email inbox & educate employees with prompt, clear, helpful responses.
  • Embrace the opportunity to learn new software & improve key processes. 

 Qualifications 

  • Bachelors degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field of study.
  • Fundamental Payroll Certification (FPC) or similar APA designation strongly preferred.
  • A minimum of three years of experience managing multi-state US payroll; global payroll experience a plus.
  • Strong payroll compliance understanding & habits.
  • Exceptional attention to detail & ability to deliver accurate results under firm deadlines.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
  • Experience with Namely HR or Ceridian DayForce a plus.
  • Willingness to schedule time off around regular payroll, & occasionally project deadlines.
