The task at hand:
Primary responsibilities include managing the Companys payroll & benefit administration across all US offices & entities. This includes, but is not limited to:
1. Serving as a critical day-to-day contact, responding to internal/external benefit and
payroll inquiries & requests
2. Escalating issues immediately to ensure proper & timely resolution
3. Managing semi-monthly payroll for multiple entities across various states (including
California) using ADP WorkforceNow
4. Calculating & tracking all payroll changes including mid-pay, retro payments and
deduction changes
5. Conducting various payroll audits each pay cycle to ensure employees are being paid,
deducted & taxed correctly
6. Reviewing non-exempt employees time cards for accuracy to ensure they are properly
filled out & overtime is being calculated (where applicable)
7. Partnering closely with our ADP WorkforceNow service team to make necessary
updates to our system, including adding new state & local taxing

8. Maintaining accurate records at all times & preparing reports for various needs
including audits, billing & invoice management
9. Liaising with the Companys accounting team & external auditors to manage payroll
tax audits
10. Overseeing & administering employee health & welfare plans
11. Ensuring accuracy of all benefit enrollments within ADP WorkforceNow, including
processing qualifying life event changes
12. Coordinating & leading the annual Open Enrollment process
13. Conducting presentations to educate employees about the Companys benefit plans
14. Partnering with our external benefit broker to ensure a smooth employee experience with
benefit carriers
15. Monitoring reconciliation reports from individual carriers to ensure information within
ADP WorkforceNow is accurate
16. Collaborating with the broader P.E.T in the development & execution of solutions,
processes, & best practices, including identifying process improvements & making
recommendations to create efficiencies
17. Ensuring compliance with relevant laws & internal policies

Skills & qualifications:


Must have at least 5 years of prior payroll processing experience
Current knowledge of payroll procedures & related laws
Excellent understanding of multi-location payroll & taxes
Familiarity with payroll software / HRIS (e.g. SAP, ADP, Kronos) & MS Office
(specifically Excel)
Highly skilled in mathematics & reporting
Outstanding communication skills (written & oral)
Strong time management skills with the ability to self-manage to strict deadlines
