Senior HR Operations Manager - US Remote

We are seeking an exceptional Sr. People Operations Manager to be part of the Sumo Logic People team.  This role will be responsible for executing all HR operational activities, driving continuous improvements, & leading new & existing programs & projects deliverables. This position reports to the Sr. Director, HR Operations.


  • Deliver scalable & effective core HR processes & policy in all employee life-cycle activities, including: onboarding, off-boarding, compliance, policy & employee handbook update.
  • Design & maintain employee & manager portal in the company intranet
  • Assess current process to seek opportunities for process redesign to create efficiency & elevate employee experience
  • Partner with the HR Business Partner team to assess improvement opportunities & support initiatives & programs
  • Contribute to audit procedures for updating, validating, & correcting employee data
  • Oversee all compliance including but not limited to EEO, AAP, ISO, SOX, SOC, compliance reporting such as EEO-1 & CA Equal Pay Act reporting, etc.
  • Manage the Sarbanes Oxley (SOX) program include understanding HR controls in connection with process design, & ensure (SOX) reviews are performed timely & accurately
  • Contribute to HR program improvement such as new hire & onboarding, policy & process update in collaboration with key stakeholders
  • Lead, coach, develop & inspire team members to plan, prioritize & execute initiatives & exceptional customer service delivery
  • Manage team priority & projects deliverables, through project planning, issue & progress management, effective communication, & collaboration with key stakeholders
  • Partner with the Payroll team & other key stakeholders in Finance & IT to ensure employee data & changes are processed accurately. 

Skill & Experience Requirement:

  • 10+ years of experience in HR Operations
  • 5+ years experience in team management & development
  • Prior experience working in global technology company
  • Experience in managing SOX program & internal audit
  • Excellent customer service skills including timely & well thought out problem solving
  • High attention to detail & strong analytical skills; ability to analyze & interpret employee data to find trends & solve problems
  • Ability to collaborate effectively within the HR team & with cross-functional teams from Finance, Payroll, internal audit & external vendors
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong team player, ability to work at all levels.
  • Personal integrity & a people-first mindset
  • BA degree with concentration in HR or equivalent.
  • SPHR Certified preferred.
