GitHub is changing the way the world builds software, & we want you to help build GitHub!
The GitHub Security Products team is on a mission to secure the worlds software. Were building tools that make it easy to find, fix & prevent security vulnerabilities, & are deploying them to millions of developers. Our products include GitHubs dependency scanning, secret scanning, & code scanning capabilities.
Our team is building the tools to help CTOs, CISOs & security teams manage security at scale. Were starting with visibility - helping organisations view & navigate between security vulnerabilities across thousands of repositories. On that foundation well build the experiences that maximise the impact of security team members as security moves into the developer workflow - experiences like insights, prioritisation workflows, & bulk actions.
Were looking for a software engineer to help accelerate our Security Overview product. You will join a remote, diverse, & passionate team. Youll help create & maintain features that protect millions of developers worldwide, & your work will have a direct impact on the security & sustainability of the open source ecosystem.
We are a remote team, & code in Go & Ruby. While we do work asynchronously, we also like to mob & pair when we get the chance. In your first 30 days, you can expect to foster a relationship with the team, learn how to ship a small feature or bugfix, end-to-end, & begin to understand the application architecture. In your first 90 days, you can expect to have shipped several small features & bugfixes, participated in code review, design discussions, & start to feel more comfortable owning a bigger feature from design to completion.
