The Senior Financial Analyst develops, tracks & analyzes Operations data & manages operations cost forecasting. This individual is responsible for providing actionable, data driven insights to help our Operations team, including recommending ways to improve systems & processes. As a Finance Analyst directly working with our Operations team, you will collaborate with various cost centers such as Labor, Shipping & Packaging & provide detailed analysis & cost forecasting. You will assist in the development & implementation of improvement projects across the business unit, as well as across the company. 


  • Extract data from various systems & generate daily/weekly/monthly reports to be utilized by the management team for workload planning, compliance, & cost saving purposes
  • Interpret data, analyze results & provide actionable insights to Operations leadership on trends & opportunities 
  • Conduct research & analysis into the primary drivers of cost variations
  • Own or support Labor, Packaging, & Shipping cost forecasting for Blue Apron 
  • Develop forecast for new business lines & core product expansion
  • Assist leadership in developing key performance indicators to enable measurable action plans
  • Support ad-hoc analyses required by Finance, Operations, Executive leadership teams, including new product development, cost savings initiatives & ROI analyses


  • Strong ability to analyze large data sets & provide a resolution based approach to the information
  • Demonstrated ability to understand qualitative drivers of business performance 
  • Ability to think strategically & progressively about projects & quickly identify trends & opportunities
  • Knowledge & understanding of manufacturing and/or logistics businesses 
  • Ability to build relationships & work well cross functionally
  • Ability to work independently, as well as with a team
  • Ability to manage multiple assignments simultaneously with strong organizational skills, in a fast-paced, complex environment
  • Ability to demonstrate initiative & resourcefulness as a self-starter
  • Ability to document, prepare & present data-driven presentations
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a Data Analyst role
  • Bachelor's degree in related field is preferred
  • Demonstrates proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly strong excel skills
  • Required experience with data manipulation & extraction using the following combination of tools: SQL, Altrex, MS SQL Server, Tableau
