Sideways is a creative agency specializing in hospitality and lifestyle branding, advertising technology and social media. We are looking for a highly motivated Social Media Manager to fill an immediate position. Individuals with a passion for hospitality, branding, digital marketing, culture, and technology are encouraged to apply. You will work with our brands engaging their online communities, producing innovative social media content for Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, and more. Our social team works hand-in-hand with the design and technology teams to create best-in-class digital content and experiences for our clients.
Creative Content Strategy : Ideate and plan using insights gathered from research, available data and existing communities to create ongoing strategy for brands
Content Creation : Work closely with the social team to develop, compose, and implement all creative and original community content as directed by client and their business objectives.
Moderation : Reactively monitor and respond to entice conversation with members across all social channels providing customer service where necessary and acting as liaison between social community and client team.
Creativity : Brainstorm new creative ideas for enhancing participation based on mined community insights.
Project Planning : Implement all community content as dictated by the strategic planning calendar; maintain planning calendar with input from client and account team.
Research & Insights : Track community metrics including membership and participation data, and build project-based reports that summarize qualitative community insights.
Forward-Focus : Monitor social media marketing and research trends, platforms and technologies.
Education: BS or BA degree in Communication, Marketing or related field
Experience: 2-3 years of experience in social media marketing preferably at an agency
Portfolio showing creative abilities working with multiple visual social media
Excellent writing skills, with an eye for proofreading and grammar
Experience analyzing data, developing insights and research reports
Internet and technology savvy with an understanding of digital content, social networking sites and consumer communities
Strong photo editing skills (Design experience a plus)
Basic computer skills is a must (HTML experience is a plus)
