Blue Apron is looking for a Senior Analyst to join the Finance team in New York. As a senior analyst, you will partner with other departments to drive the development of the companys planning & FP&A processes. The ideal candidate will be a persistent self-starter who is excited to support a cross-functional team through complex analyses. You will be a consummate communicator & provide insights that will enable senior management to make decisions on the direction of the company.


  • Partner closely with the Consumer Products, Culinary & Supply Chain teams to provide financial insights & support new product development, culinary planning, & food/packaging procurement
  • Work across the organization to support the annual planning process, rolling forecasts & process improvement for the Consumer Products & Supply Chain teams
  • Perform variance analyses of budgeted/forecasted against actual financial performance, clearly interpreting & documenting variances & cost drivers
  • Assist leadership in developing key performance indicators to enable measurable action plans
  • Support ad-hoc analyses required by Finance, Supply Chain, Consumer Products leadership teams, including business cases, cost savings initiatives & ROI analyses
  • Develop P&Ls, run forecasting & serve as strategic thought partner for new business lines & core product expansion
  • Serve as the finance-minded partner on new & existing workstreams in the planning process, both current state & managing through new product roll-outs
  • Foster a positive & entrepreneurial spirit across the company


  • Bachelors degree from a top-tier program with excellent academic results
  • 2-4 years of experience in an analytical, consulting, operations or business role
  • Can build relationships & drive cross-functional initiatives involving employees from across the organization at HQ & our Fulfillment Centers
  • Analytical aptitude You know Excel like the back of your hand. You are an expert working with large data sets, developing financial models, & drawing conclusions to develop actionable recommendations. Functional knowledge of financial reporting & accounting.
  • Strong communication & presentation skills you are comfortable confidently & succinctly presenting your ideas in front of a larger audience & to executive level leadership
  • Internal drive you are a go-getter & are self-motivated, you enjoy identifying & solving problems with little guidance. If you encounter a roadblock you are already thinking of a solution & bring a well-articulated plan to your manager
  • Organizational & project management skills - youre comfortable juggling multiple tasks simultaneously while still delivering high quality work
  • This position sits in our New York headquarters, but some travel to our Fulfillment Centers will be required (< 10%)
