Accounts Payable Manager       New York City, NY

Introduction:

Were searching for an experienced Accounts Payable Manager to join our growing Accounting team. The person in this role will be responsible for implementing best-practice policies to ensure the accurate, timely processing & reporting of payables. Our ideal candidate is a hands-on, self-starting, disciplined, & detail-oriented individual with an eye for process improvement & a knack for working independently in a high-volume environment. Responsibilities:

  • Manage the full-cycle accounts payable process including month-end & year-end reporting & audit support
  • Oversee the operation & enhancement of our Coupa procure-to-pay system & newly implemented ERP 
  • Supervise, coach, & train a team of three on procedures, controls, & issue resolution
  • Manage escalated issues with vendors & internal company personnel with tact & diplomacy
  • Monitor AP aging to ensure timely payments are made
  • Monitor AP department performance metrics to provide insight to development or resource needs
  • Own the corporate credit card program, including P-cards, employee, & executive cards
  • Administer the travel & expense policy & manage our T&E platform, Expensify
  • Oversee the tracking & collection of tenant allowance for our retail stores
  • Provide input on the long-term AP department strategy, including identifying process, technology, & control improvements; assist with their implementation

Requirements:

  • The proud owner of a Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or similar focus
  • Backed by 7+ years of relevant experience including in a supervisory role
  • Driven by excellent organizational & customer service skills
  • Someone with incredibly strong interpersonal skills, whether youre communicating internally & externally
  • Experience with Coupa & Oracle is a plus!
