As Accounting Manager, youll oversee the development of 2+ team members, own the core accounting processes including SOX controls for CLEAR & partner with the Corporate Controller & Assistant Controller on key business projects. By focusing on our teams accounting infrastructure & partnering with the FP&A team as well as key business units across the organization, youll ensure the department is equipped to scale & provide expertise & guidance to support CLEARs growth strategy. What You Will Do:

  • Develop & implement strategies to improve accounting processes for capitalization of equipment & software development & accounting system configurations
  • In conjunction with the Controller & Assistant Controller lead & support timely monthly, quarterly, & year-end financial close, including assigned journal entries, & balance sheet account reconciliations for accrued expenses, fixed assets, & cap software
  • Review account reconciliations & supporting schedules ensuring compliance with generally accepted accounting principles
  • Collaborate with internal & external teams to support key company initiatives
  • Manage the external audit processes for annual financial statement audits
  • Work with the finance leadership team to implement SOX

Who You Are:

  • 5+ years of professional experience in accounting, including experience in a leadership role & public accounting. CPA license preferred
  • Experience in the design & implementation of new accounting systems & processes
  • Strong, comprehensive understanding of US GAAP
  • A strong leader able to develop & motivate a team, collaborate across departments, work closely with leadership, & take initiative
  • An excellent communicator, both written & verbally
  • An expert in multi-tasking with the ability to manage several high-priority projects simultaneously
  • Detail-oriented & analyticalyou produce high-quality work while meeting tight deadline
