Hi we're Oscar. Were hiring a Learning Specialist to join our Learning & Development team in our Tempe office. 

Oscar is a technology-driven, consumer-focused health insurance startup founded in 2012 & headquartered in New York City. Our goal is to make health insurance simple, transparent, & human. We need your help to do so.

About the Role:

As a Learning Specialist you will facilitate & do instructional design work.  You will create eLearnings, instructor-led courses, micro-learnings, & other educational collateral. You are someone who is positive, enthusiastic, enjoys engaging & presenting to large teams, & is never afraid of a challenge! 

You will report into the Learning & Development Manager.


  • Facilitate courses, both onboarding & continuing education, to Oscar employees
  • Use instructional design best practices & learning theory to create excellent learning  experiences for Oscar employees
  • Collaborate with program managers on the creation & auditing of content
  • Participate in train-the-trainer sessions as needed
  • Support the training team with special projects, as needed


  • 3+ years of facilitation experience
  • 1+ years of instructional design experience

Bonus Points

  • Bachelor's degree
  • Zoom or WebEx experience
