Responsibilities & Requirements

The role leads on all public affairs issues in France, working closely with the global head of public affairs & other senior figures across the company.

This role is to ensure the company is a partner in helping government, regulators & stakeholders deliver their priorities; ensuring that the business is aware of ongoing & potential public affairs issues in France; to ensure the company is proactive in dealing with challenges & in demonstrating our commitment to the communities in which we operate; to build brand trust & be seen as a responsible, European company which plays a part in French policy-making.

Important ingredients for the right candidate for the Head of Public Affairs, France will be:

  • Experience of heading up a Public Affairs team.

  • An excellent understanding of the political landscape in France..

  • A demonstrable record of success in campaigning & influencing political decision-making in France, with strong pre-existing relationships.

  • An in-depth understanding of the policy & regulatory issues facing companies in the on-demand economy.

  • Experience of having worked in media or within politics is desirable.

  • A proactive attitude & a desire to learn about & help make decisions right across the business, including commercial & operational decisions.

  • A desire to work in a close-knit team & across multiple teams in a growing organisation.

  • An excellent verbal & written communicator with the ability to prioritise.

  • Experience growing & managing a team.
