Galileo is looking for a seasoned Backend Engineer to uplevel & expand our internal systems & API interfaces so that we can continue bringing high-quality primary care to growing patient populations

Here's what youll do:

• Design, architect, implement well-tested & maintainable backend systems & API interfaces
• Build & maintain infrastructure & pipelines to process large clinical datasets
• Collaborate closely with designers, clinicians, & other engineers to create beautiful patient experiences
• Make improvements to existing backend architecture & services to make them more performant, reliable & secure to continue to deliver healthcare at scale

We'd love to hear from you if you have the following:

• 3+ years of professional experience in developing backend services for data-driven web applications
• Strong software engineering skills (particularly in Python) with the ability to design, implement, test, deploy & monitor API functionality
• A strong understanding of data modeling & relational databases
• Clear communication around technical concepts & ideas & the ability to collaborate with engineering & other parts of the organization
• A desire to learn, grow, & enjoy the responsibility & accountability that comes with high levels of ownership & autonomy

Bonus points if you also have:

• Familiarity with Docker
• Familiarity with cloud infrastructure platforms & serverless services such as AWS
