ABOUT THE ROLE

As the Peloton Revenue Staff Accountant, you are a hardworking & self-driven individual & play an important role in Pelotons Revenue Accounting & Reporting. You possess an interest in Revenue accounting & are aware of Pelotons multifaceted business. In addition, you have a strong knowledge regarding U.S. GAAP Financial Statements, external reporting processes, internal controls & experience working with external auditors. You are an analytical thinker, with a data driven background that supports cross-functional workstreams & work product which allow for strategic & knowledgeable decision making. RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assist Senior Accountant in month-end close processes for International & Domestic Connected Fitness Revenue, including discounts & returns
  • Ensure data compliance for Connected Fitness products across all platforms
  • Assist in completing accurate month-end reconciliations for relevant balance sheet accounts
  • Work with Accounting Manager to continuously develop & enhance partnership with International & Domestic Supply Chain Teams
  • Continue to develop & maintain in depth P&L & BS Analytics to efficiently report results to upper management & internal teams (i.e. Financial Planning & Analysis & Controller)
  • Assist in development of robust documentation around Revenue Internal Controls
  • Review existing processes & partnerships with other accounting teams (specifically COGS) to continuously improve & standardize close processes in an effective, less time intensive manner
  • Investigate reporting discrepancies & communicate issues as they arrive in a timely manner
  • Support year-end financial statement audits as well as quarterly reviews

QUALIFICATIONS

  • BA/BS or higher degree in Accounting
  • 2+ years of relevant Accounting experience
  • Experience with Consumer Products, Manufacturing and/or retail industry preferred
  • Active CPA License preferred
  • Experience with Big 4 Firm and/or SEC registered company
  • Excellent & effective communication skills that distinguish the ability to work with multiple business partners & different levels throughout the organization
  • Experience with ASC 606 Accounting Revenue Standard
  • Attention to details with a strong analytical background / mindset that supports problem solving abilities
  • Motivated individual who enjoys fast paced, growing environment that can manage & prioritize multiple deadlines
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills required (candidate must be comfortable working with & analyzing large datasets)

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience with NetSuite
  • Experience in International Revenue Reporting
  • Experience with SaaS based company & Subscription revenue
  • Exposure to SOX Reporting environment
