We are currently seeking a Senior Product Manager that develops and implements strategic roadmaps to drive conversion and business growth (and the achievement of other relevant KPIs) by defining, prioritizing, implementing/testing, and measuring software and process enhancements across platforms (such as web, mobile, and social media). They will manage the work output of a team that includes engineers, designers, data analysts, business leaders/product management personnel, and other cross-functional partners across many departments while liaising between departments. They will use data-driven decision-making techniques to account for market changes and trends to translate product vision into product strategy and improve customer experience. He or she establishes key objectives and the metrics by which success is defined.
Prioritizes a backlog based on wide business view of different business processes and departments based on ROI and communicates with stakeholders
Encourages small steps philosophy for example by challenging the team to find the smallest possible step to achieve the result
Drives creativity by gathering new ideas through continued learning and constantly challenging the team to think outside the typical solution set
Drives productivity through enthusiasm, without losing eye for a high-quality product; sets a fast pace
Proactively seeks solutions to recurring problems and issues by approaching impediments in a pragmatic way, identifying and removing issues which can prevent optimal execution.
Works both independently as well as in a team
Continuously prioritizes user stories and tasks, based on business needs
Takes ownership of different user stories that run simultaneously, while ensuring they do not become disconnected
Communicates progress, blockers/risks, insights/learnings, and opportunities both formally, both up and down the organization
Finds opportunities to improve conversion by soliciting input from colleagues, customers, and across the industry while simultaneously distrusting all opinions until proven by data
Constantly analyzes, questions and interprets data; breaks data down to the lowest level to truly understand its meaning and impact
Responsibilities may include managing other team members
Demonstrates effective collaboration and consistent delivery with a cross-functional project team of engineers, designers and analysts
Understands and evangelizes the customer's perspective and needs in all decisions
Actively solicits feedback and reflects on own behavior and performance
Proficient at collecting, reading, interpreting, synthesizing, and creating actionable insights from (sometimes contradictory or incomplete) datasets
Relates well to all different colleagues in different areas of expertise; able both to direct and to influence others
Can adapt communication style to bridge across varying levels of seniority, disciplines, locations, and personality types
Challenges and influences the team and all other people involved to achieve goals faster and better
4+ years of product management experience, preferably in a consumer-facing ecommerce environment
Demonstrated experience managing complex software and process development to achieve business objectives, particularly Agile development methodologies
Demonstrated experience working successfully with blended business/technology teams
Experience working at a startup preferredTechnical degree preferred (CS, IT, CIS, SE, etc
