Were looking for a Staff Performance Engineer that is specialized in Data Warehousing & Performance Tuning to join our team, & help manage the vastly growing data solutions at Index Exchange. 

Working with exciting technologies, your team will experiment with new tools & engineer innovative approaches to solve interesting challenges.  Things shift very quickly in our industry, & we rely on our Engineering teams to keep IX & our clients ahead of the curve & moving in the right direction. Were looking for Engineers who have experience in an Agile environment, who can drive innovation, & be a technical leader on our team.

Heres What Youll be Doing:

• Analyze & manage system performance & reliability on data warehouse & data pipeline solutions
• Identify, design & implement performance engineering strategies to optimize the capacity, availability & scalability of our data systems
• Identify potential performance issues at start of development stage
• Provide technical assistance & advice to ensure smooth system performance in development stage
• Guide & mentor team members
• Identify & assess potential solutions for technical & business suitability

Here's What You Need:

• Bachelor/Master degree in Computer Science, Computer/Electrical Engineering or related field
• 7+ years of work experience in a software engineering environment
• 3+ years of work experience designing, building & managing high performance data warehousing systems such as Vertica, Oracle or other equivalent technologies
• Deep understanding on data modelling, data warehousing, ETL processes, & business intelligence reporting tools
• Strong knowledge in data warehouse performance tuning & optimization
• Experience with SQL & NoSQL systems
• Strong mentorship, collaboration, & communication skills
