This individual will be responsible for supporting the strategy, development, & execution behind Walmart eCommerce exclusive fashion brands.

Key responsibilities include owning a brand (or brands) holistically across all relevant categories & all attributes including assortment, brand positioning, & item pricing to drive the financial health of the brand, partnering with marketing to grow awareness & demand, & guiding all products from design to development to delivery. We are looking for a strategic, innovative, & resourceful team member with a fantastic eye for product to help drive our exclusive fashion brands to the next level.

Position Description:

  • Manage manufacturing partners to deliver seasonally appropriate product assortments; on-time & on-budget
  • Regularly interface with brand & design partners to develop & refine assortments
  • Liaise with category managers to determine product maximization opportunities & white space
  • Own sales targets & growth plans for brand(s)
  • Manage assistant who will support all the Brand Manager functions of brand or brands
  • Partner with Planning to manage open-to-buy, sell-through, & markdowns
  • Optimize pricing by managing product margins & benchmarking competitors
  • Collaborate with marketing to define brand marketing campaigns to drive growth & awareness
  • Partner with fashion site experience & creative/editorial teams to build online branded experiences & incorporate products into key seasonal campaigns
  • Ensure successful online seasonal launches, including product content & listing integrity
  • Conduct regular analysis of brand(s), department, & total market segment performance; identifying & capitalizing on business & product opportunities. Continually evolve the brand assortment strategy based on performance, market segment trends, & customer feedback to grow strategically over time

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Product Development, Design, or related field
  • 5+ years experience in fashion product merchandising or buying & product development
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel & Power Point, knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite tools a plus

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Product Development, Design, or related field
  • 5+ years experience in fashion apparel merchandising & product development for a vertical fashion company
  • Ability to fuse art & science to build a data-driven strategic business plan with tangible execution steps & develop product relevant to current fashion & business trends
  • Impeccable communication skills & demonstrated ability to form long-term strategic business relationships
  • Deep experience in online/offline retail & consumer internet technologies
  • A honed aesthetic & an obsession with fashion product with a demonstrated ability to develop amazing product & drive top-line & bottom-line growth
  • An entrepreneurial mentality: act like an owner, think big, & demonstrate bias for action when problem-solving
  • Highly organized with a strong attention to detail; ability to scrutinize your assortment, obsess over operational excellence, & polish the customer experience
