Our Ideal Candidate

We are looking for an experienced Product Owner who can give our customer's voice a seat at the Scrum table. They should understand the Agile process from beginning to end, including user stories, acceptance criteria, sprint planning & QA.

As a Hardware Product Owner, you will have an understanding of networking concepts & confidence in making decisions on network equipment such as routers, switches, & access points.  

Key Responsibilities

The following are the core areas for which you will be responsible:

  • Drive the hardware solution deployed into restaurants & retail environments. This includes components such as network devices, printers, scanners, scales, payment terminals, & mobile IOS & Android devices.  
  • Work with vendors to stay knowledgeable on product release cycle (end of life/upcoming products) & industry trends. 
  • Set direction for our custom Mobile Device Management (MDM) solution & device monitors/management toolset. 
  • Advocate for the customer on the Scrum team, providing vision & direction to the Agile development team & stakeholders throughout the project
  • Work closely with Product Management to create & maintain a product backlog according to business value or ROI
  • Cleary articulate new functionality & consider rollout & conversion plans for customers
  • Work with designers to ensure a high-level user experience is delivered
  • Participate as a key member within an Agile team of developers, QAs & designer to meet committed sprint timelines
  • Plan & prioritize the product feature backlog to ensure that the scrum team always has an adequate amount of prior prepared stories 
  • Provide backlog management alongside the Scrum master, iteration planning, & elaboration of the user stories
  • Lead the product release plans & set the expectation for delivery of new functionalities
  • Provide an active role in mitigating impediments impacting successful team completion of Release/Sprint Goals
  • Research & analyze market, the users, & the roadmap for the product
  • Follow our competitors & the industry 
  • Keep abreast with Agile/Scrum best practices & new trends

Supporting Activities

As a Revel Product Owner, you will collaborate closely with the Product Managers & other stakeholders to assist with:

  • Defining the product vision & roadmap
  • Planning releases
  • Developing user personas
  • Identifying market & customer needs

From time to time, some projects may require additional business analysis skills including:

  • Performing detailed requirements analysis
  • Evaluating & documenting business processes
  • Anticipating requirements & uncovering areas for improvement
  • Assisting business stakeholders during user acceptance testing


  • Previous working experience as a Product Owner for 3 years
  • BS in Computer Science, Engineering or similar relevant work experience
  • In-depth knowledge of Agile process & principles 
  • Outstanding communication, presentation & leadership skills
  • Excellent organizational & time management skills
  • Sharp analytical & problem-solving skills
  • Creative thinker with a vision
  • Attention to details

Nice to Have

  • Relevant industry experience as a cashier, waiter, cook, store manager or key holder in the food service or retail industries
