What were looking for

We are seeking a detail-oriented & multi-talented Project Manager to join the Innovation team. We are growing quickly & must implement new initiatives & provide support to a geographically dispersed staff. A successful candidate must be highly self-motivated, detail-oriented, committed to solving problems efficiently, & interested in being part of an organization committed to continuous improvement. We are seeking someone who is able to set the standard for integrity & professionalism, work with a diverse team, & help facilitate the implementation of business initiatives.

What youll do

The Project Manager will perform various roles & manage various projects. We are the connective tissue between groups when working to implement cross-functional strategic operational initiatives at Vacasa. This includes internal cross-functional project initiatives across Operations along with initiatives related to Operations.

To succeed in this role, you should have excellent time management skills & be able to communicate effectively, as youll collaborate with internal & external teams to deliver results on deadlines.

This individual will:

  • Project planning: work with leadership to scope individual program projects, creating & managing a detailed work plan for successful completion of projects. 
  • Collaborate with people managers to identify & assign resources to individual project tasks.
  • Meet work standards by following production, productivity, quality, & customer-service standards; resolving operational problems; identifying work process improvements.
  • Drive execution of individual projects to ensure on time delivery within budget.
  • Monitor & communicate individual project status to leadership & stakeholders to ensure forward progress, escalating when required. Balance the critical dimensions of scope, schedule & costs.
  • Coordinate internal functions & external 3rd party resources as required. Frequent interaction across Vacasa teams & partners.
  • Document plans, statuses, issue logs, & outcomes for individual projects according to set program standards. Prepare & interpret flowcharts, schedules & step-by-step action plans.
  • Ensure that all program project artifacts are delivered on-time & within scope.
  • Make data-driven decisions across project lifecycle in the context of larger program needs. 
  • Enhances department & organization reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new & challenging requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.
  • Work with Product Management, cross-functional program teams, & software technical leaders to clarify & scope product/feature requirements.
  • Assess & solve operational opportunities to increase service quality and/or efficiency.
  • Other Duties as assigned by Innovation Leadership

Skills youll need

  • University degree, college diploma, or equivalent experience in business or related field.
  • Minimum of 2 years successfully managing complex cross-functional initiatives
  • Software proficiencies:
    • Proficient in Lucidchart or other process mapping tools
    • Proficient in Smartsheet or other project management tools
    • Familiarity with JIRA/Confluence
  • Ability to lead large & diverse project teams
  • Ability to thrive in a fast paced environment & handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Ability to adapt quickly to change & deliver results in highly ambiguous environments.
  • Outstanding analytical & complex problem-solving skills
  • Creative problem solving & collaborative skills to develop solutions to complex problems.
  • Comfort with changing business conditions & work autonomy.
  • Strong attention to detail & track record of delivering high quality work.
  • Excellent client-facing & internal communication skills.
  • Strong client-facing & teamwork skills.
