JOB DESCRIPTION

A critical role of Magic Leap's Business Technology (BT) solutions teams,  Data Engineer will support data warehouse, data analysis initiatives & ensure optimal data & information delivery architecture to support ongoing projects. The incumbent must be self-directed & comfortable supporting the data engineering & Business intelligence needs of multiple teams, systems & products.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Data visualization, presentation, & modeling 
• Analyze & synthesize data to drive decision making
• Work closely with databases, reports, & dashboards to pull, refine, & interpret large sets of information
• Make sense of raw data & make it digestible with data visualization tools like Tableau
• Use reporting software to create models that depict trends in the customer base, assess company risk profiles, monitor ongoing campaigns, compile predictive reporting, & identify new untapped markets
• Work closely with senior data engineers to generate reports to identify KPIs & metrics
• Identify & recommend innovative ways to save money by streamlining business processes
• Create & maintain optimal data pipeline architecture
• Integrate large, complex data sets that meet business requirements
• Identify, design, & implement internal process improvements: automating manual processes, optimizing data delivery, re-designing infrastructure for greater scalability
• Evaluate/Review/Implement/Build the infrastructure required for optimal extraction, transformation, & loading of data from various data sources
• Work with stakeholders at multiple levels to assist with data-related technical issues & support their data infrastructure needs
• Facilitate meetings to gather business & data requirements & translate them into report & analysis for sales & finance teams
• Support data analysis tools used by multiple business intelligence resources throughout the organization
• Work with data & analytics experts to strive for greater functionality in the data ecosystem
