The primary function of this role is to partner with our go-to-market teams to create proposals & quotes that mutually benefit BetterCloud & our Customers. We are looking for someone who will support the day to day contract creation & deal approval processes, meet with G2M representatives, communicate with various stakeholders, & ensure that deals are bookable in accordance with BetterClouds revenue recognition policies. 

Requirements

  • Prior experience in Sales, Deal Desk, Finance, or Revenue Accounting role in a fast paced environment 
  • Basic understanding of revenue recognition principles & US GAAP
  • Strive to Delight mindset while working cross-functionally with Sales, Finance, & Legal in executing contracts
  • Ability to multi-task to tackle large volume of deal requests with a sense of urgency
  • High level of attention to detail 
  • Strong organizational & interpersonal skills
  • Basic knowledge of Excel

Preferred Qualifications

  • SaaS/Software experience 
  • Demonstrated participation in process improvement efforts
  • Bonus points for experience with Zuora CPQ & Salesforce 
  • Strong commercial acumen with a big picture outlook
  • Continuous Improvement mindset
  • Experience with Direct & Channel sales ecosystems

Responsibilities

  • Work across multiple business groups including Sales, Customer Success, Finance, & Legal to drive an optimal deal structure & support day to day requests from the sales organization
  • Build order forms, ensuring all required approvals are obtained & clearly documented as well as being fully compliant with BetterClouds internal policies 
  • Provide Accounting team with context & clarification on complex deal structures & how they are to be treated as it relates to invoicing & commissions
  • Build tools & resources to improve Sales efficiency in the deal-making & quoting process
  • Provide input to develop innovative & strategic deal structures to fit the needs of the business & our customers
  • Deliver ongoing education & training to ensure Sales understanding of & compliance with non-standard deal processes
