Client Information Application Development team of Network Processing is a Product development & Support organization consisting of Open system & Legacy technology applications such as VCIS, CORE, Config, MVV, PRM, Profiler, Client Directories & located in Foster City, Bangalore& Singapore. We are undergoing a massive effort to reengineer our applications to address business needs & advances in Open source technology. The Director ofCORE application, Singapore will lead the team responsible for production support, maintenance & application development for COREapplication. This role requires a firm understanding of Software development in Open system technologies, Production support & maintenance of applications such as applying patches, version upgrades & software implementation. The ideal candidate will be a dynamic leader, excellent communicator, team builder, excellent collaborator, have demonstrable expertise in Software Development & support & above all be customer & team focused. The candidate will manage & supervise assigned technical staff; work closely with peers in the development & test engineering teams within Network Processing as well as senior management & other groups across the organization.
Hire, train, coach & grow a high-performing, cross-functional team
People manager tasks such as coaching, performance review & talent management
Strong management & leadership for direct reports with capacity to mentor & coach engineering staff.
Strong leadership & inter-personal skills to influence & drive engagement across partner teams
Work with Peers in Foster City, Bangalore & Singapore to plan for application installs
Ensure production incidents are assigned & monitor the progress till the closure of the incident or follow the escalation procedures
Ensure process for Incident management, change management & problem management are followed.
Monitor Patch updates to servers to ensure all the servers are complaint.
Manage prioritization & delivery of enhancements & bug fixes
Work Collaboratively with peers to manage dependencies & resolve operational issues
Lead software engineers to plan & deliver various projects for enhancing the platform & meet business requirements
Perform ATC duties for CORE application
10+ years of experience in Software development, test engineering & production support.
Bachelor's degree in an Engineering or Technical field or equivalent experience required
Strategic thinking skills - ability to anticipate upcoming trends & changes in the broader environment & apply them to the application
Experience supporting live applications & managing business critical technical functions & SLA compliance.
Strong analytical, problem determination & customer relations skills
Strong independent strategic thinking, outstanding verbal & written communication, presentation & analytical skills with an ability to deliver results, communicate complex concepts & results.
Strong problem solving skills - able to analytically break down problems into a solution
High energy, motivated team player, able to effectively lead across functions & teams to drive projects & key initiatives to completion.
Demonstrate a wide range of engineering experiences including many of these areas: JAVA, Angular JS, Ext JS, DB2, Linux & MVS.
Familiarity with IBM mainframe platform is a plus.
Experience with technology transformation of legacy applications.
Must have working experience building high volume & large scale distributed systems.
Banking or Payments systems experience is a strong plus.
