Job Description

Visa is currently seeking a Senior Director FSS Revenue Systems to play a critical role in the development & implementation of Visa's Revenue Systems transformation, enhancements & modifications. The Senior Director will be part of the Finance Systems Strategy (FSS) organization, which is responsible for defining the global Finance Systems roadmap as well as the implementation & enhancement of global Revenue Systems. The FSS Revenue Systems team works closely with the business owners of the Revenue systems & the Corporate IT team to define business & systems control requirements. The position requires excellent organization & leadership skills, business & systems analysis, critical thinking, understanding of internal controls, & have strong communication skills. Must also be self-directed, able to multi-task, disciplined, & adaptable to & influence change.

Essential Functions:

  • Define & execute an end to end strategy for Revenue Systems
  • Provide leadership & oversight to the Global Revenue Systems Transformation program at Visa & other Revenue impacting projects
  • Build & maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders in FP&A, Revenue Operations, Legal, Controllership, Pricing Strategy & with senior Finance executives
  • Communicate effectively & proactively with senior executive management & articulate ideas, recommendations clearly & concisely
  • Challenge status quo & bring new methods & techniques to the work force
  • Organize & provide oversight for the Requirements activities for a large portfolio of Visa's Revenue Systems & initiatives
  • Make & lead improvement recommendations across Finance functions
  • Leverage relationships with business partners to identify & recommend improvements & strategic investments
  • Oversee testing execution over very large programs & multiple finance systems / portfolios
  • Effectively partner with IT to define & implement joint Testing methodologies, expectations & approaches
  • Apply thought leadership on system development life cycle methodologies & ability to apply them in ambiguous scenarios
  • Ability to quickly gain an in-depth knowledge of multiple finance systems & platforms & processes related to billing, invoicing, mediation, & incentives from an end to end perspective
  • Lead a large team of Business Analysts, Finance Managers & Directors while fostering a collaborative team environment
  • Provide effective coaching & development of team members across levels
  • Evaluate & improve the tools, controls frameworks, & communication approaches for financial impacts of client incentive arrangements
  • Ensure compliance with Financial Internal Controls & SOX controls as deemed appropriate. Identify, recommend & implement control improvements throughout revenue processes
  • Synthesize very complex data findings into logical conclusions & impact assessments for executive management recommendations
  • Flexibility to lead change & adapt to changing business needs

Basic Qualifications

  • 12+ years of work experience with a Bachelor's Degree; 10+ years of work experience with an Advanced degree (e.g. Masters/MBA/JD/MD); or a minimum of 5 years of work experience with a PhD
  • Experience in the Financial Services Industry
  • Experience in working with Revenue / Billing systems while contributing to senior management decision-making on how the technologies should be leveraged & integrated
  • 5+ years of experience with Revenue / Billing systems
  • 5+ years of ERP product implementation & project management experience required (e.g. PeopleSoft, eBusiness, SAP, Workday, etc)
  • Must have experience leading project teams through all phases of the technology implementation lifecycle (requirements gathering, design, build, testing, & go-live)
  • Experience managing large projects (>$3M) budgets, risks, resources, & staffing
  • Bachelor's Degree with a combination of Systems/Accounting/Finance concentration
  • This position requires proven analytical & reporting experience with Finance systems within a global organization

Preferred Qualifications

  • 15+ years of progressive system implementations; business requirements & analysis; solution design; internal controls assessment & implementation; & experience working in large, multi-national, publicly-traded companies
  • 10+ years senior management experience (i.e. managing multiple teams)
  • 15+ years Financials systems experience (Management, Functional support, Analysis, or Architecture)
  • 5+ years of progressive experience in revenue operations, billing, or system support functions, preferably with large, multi-national, publicly-traded companies. Requires a solid understanding of the underlying revenue operations business processes encompassing pricing, invoicing, reporting, master data, etc.
  • Experience in Oracle Revenue Management & Billing (ORMB) or Oracle Customer Care & Billing (CC&B) strongly preferred. Experience with other enterprise revenue software packages (e.g. Oracle BRM, SAP, Amdocs, etc.) also acceptable
  • Excellent communication skills (written & verbal) & ability to translate & synthesize complex information for executive consumption
  • Excellent data analysis skills & demonstrated experience in leading testing, validation, Quality Assurance, User Acceptance Testing for large transformation programs.
  • Experience & knowledge of Tableau, PowerBI & SSAS is beneficial
  • Demonstrated experience in project/program management to guide business stakeholders to optimize project/program schedules
  • Ability to learn quickly & achieve in-depth understanding of complex processes & systems
  • Solid understanding of the Agile methodology & Systems Development Life Cycle (SDLC) processes
  • Working knowledge of accounting treatments & statistical reporting
  • Strong leadership & organization skills & management experience
  • Proven ability to attract high caliber individuals; develop teams with diverse capabilities; provide constructive feedback; develop talent & successors; & drive results
  • Experience in process redesign with an attitude of continuous improvement
  • Possess business acumen to understand high level corporate initiatives yet be able to manage day-to-day tactical decisions to ensure delivery of all key initiatives
  • Budget development & control skills are required
  • Must be self-motivated & have the ability to lead & motivate others
  • Must be a team player with strong interpersonal, verbal, & written communications skills
  • Should be able to work with off-shore vendors & resources spread out globally
  • Extensive experience in working with external vendors
  • Ability to communicate & work directly with business leaders across Finance & Technology
  • Independent judgment & mature decision-making skills to deal with projects that often have enterprise-wide scope & may have significant financial & compliance impacts
  • Ability to work under pressure in a high volume & fast paced dynamic environment
  • Must be detail oriented & possess the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Must possess organizational, problem-solving skills, & time management skills to meet deadlines
  • Must possess the skills to use multi-level analysis & sound judgment to work through organizational & process issues
  • Previous consulting experience is beneficial, or practice in driving strategic direction across multiple lines of business
  • International experience ideally within a complex, matrix management organization
  • Knowledge of the payments industry, in particular the card business within the banking environment, is desirable

  • Incumbent must make themselves available during core business hours
