The Planning & Logistics Manager is responsible for coordinating efforts across Material Planning, Logistics, Inventory Tracking/Management, & ERP Improvement to ensure efficient execution of organizational objectives. Working closely with multiple cross functional partners, the Planning & Logistics Manager will be responsible for forecasting & procuring materials to support new/proto builds with manufacturing partners as well as necessary components to support in-field fleet maintenance of our Bike & Scooter fleet, ensuring proper tracking & accounting of company assets, optimizing transportation modality & frequency, as well as working to optimize internal software resources to support these initiatives. The role involves establishing an inventory strategy to deliver service goals, & ensuring that capacity plans are developed to support the consensus forecast. The role is one of the key links between the manufacturing facilities & the business teams including Finance,GSM, & Operations


  • Implement effective planning models & software solutions to forecast material needs across new builds & spares to optimize EOQ & other key KPIs
  • Improve material planning maturity across the Lyft Transit, Bikes & Scooters Line of Business
  • Collect & consolidate inputs from cross functional stakeholders across Operations, Engineering, & Finance
  • Identify most cost-effective transportation modality & cadence to support operational initiatives
  • Initiate & lead supply prioritization discussions during capacity constrained periods.  Lead and/or support trouble-shooting & problem resolution for planning issues impacting service 
  •  Support delivery of financial targets including cost per case, productivity & waste
  • Maintain consistency of Planning & Logistics processes & goals across programs
  • Drive system & process improvement solutions to streamline workflows, reduce redundancy, & optimize effectiveness.


  • Bachelors degree or relevant work experience
  • 5 years experience managing planning/procurement/logistics team
  • Strong business acumen, with the ability to identify opportunities for continuous improvement
  • Excellent analytical & decision making skills - Able to see the forest through the trees
  • Strong Team Player
  • Solid background in ERP Implementation & improvement
  • Exceptional interpersonal & conflict resolution skills
