FanDuel is looking for a Director to join the Strategy & Operations team. The Strategy & Operations group serves as a partner & advisor to the Executive team & works on critical strategic initiatives & opportunities facing the business. This is an exciting opportunity to join a small group with significant exposure across the FanDuel Group business, as well as to the broader global company (Flutter Group).

Everyone on our team has a part to play

  • Lead analysis & recommendations on new initiatives. Serve as a business owner & project manager to drive new initiatives forward from ideation to launch, which will often result in handoff to a department lead
  • Collaborate with FanDuel Group department leads to drive cross-functional collaboration & implement operational process improvements
  • Structure & lead complex, cross-functional projects independently, managing multiple workstreams & stakeholders
  • Develop & manage team members, supporting more junior team members with structuring analysis & developing hypotheses; as well as overall professional development & growth
  • Liaise with global partners in UK&I, Australia, & beyond to identify opportunities to leverage best practices & drive operational efficiencies across the global group
  • Partner with Strategy & Operations Vice President & Executive team to identify, prioritize, & evaluate new strategic initiatives & opportunities
  • Example projects could include:
    • Evaluating new opportunities: Market sizing, evaluating competitive landscape, building business cases
    • Assisting departments with strategy & scaling: Forecasting demand, developing location strategy, identifying new vendors, etc.
    • Coordinating tech migrations across the company: Supporting teams with developing new operational workflows & identifying hiring/training needs
    • Developing & implementing operational procedures & processes to support the company as we scale, such as business continuity planning & automation


What were looking for in our next teammate

  • Bachelors Degree required, MBA preferred
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in management / strategy consulting & experience as a case team leader preferred
  • Ability to take broad direction, use initiative, & translate that into well-researched, actionable output
  • Hands-on experience working autonomously to deliver robust business cases, which draw on a mix of hard data & sensible assumptions. Strong numerical proficiency & analytical capability
  • Excellent interpersonal skills; skilled at influencing & building relationships across the organization at all levels, including with senior leadership
  • Strong organizational & project management skills, with the ability to juggle multiple projects at once. Previous experience leading large project teams on complex cross-functional projects is required
  • Ability & desire to dive in & get your hands dirty with analysis. In this role, you will be required to both manage teams/people and be an individual contributor
  • Experience & passion for managing & developing junior team members
  • Prior knowledge of gaming industry preferred; ability to quickly develop a deep understanding of the industry & company will be critical
