Latch is looking for a senior operations leader to take responsibility for our corporate Information Technology systems, technical product operations, & site reliability. Latch is a high growth organization, & technology is at the core of everything we do. From managing our internal business applications, to monitoring our fleet of devices in the field, this role will span the range of our technology use & development. For our proper IT operations, you will be responsible for vetting new internal applications, managing internal users, & managing the network infrastructure in our four worldwide office. Latch operates a large number of microservices & has deployed thousands of hardware devices into the field. Latch monitors this fleet in real time to stay ahead of any outages, but needs to scale this effort as our fleet size, user base, & number of product lines grows. Ensure that the back end production environment is well managed, including all of the usual IT Service Management disciplines.
Ensure that the internal IT environment is well managed, & nicely positioned for huge scaling ramps as the company grows.
Deliver a holistic & integrated strategy for the toolset & processes needed to manage these environments securely & efficiently.
Enhance our processes to manage the fleet of deployed devices in the field to allow for massive scaling of fleet size, with lower management costs.
Develop & scale the existing IT team, as well as develop the production support team.
Skills & Experience:
10+ years in the IT or Technology Operations field
A minimum of 7 years of managing people, teams & projects
Strong understanding of managing cloud-based deployment in environments such as AWS or Azure for both internal & customer application use
Solid practical understanding of securing IT infrastructure
Comfortable developing strategic plans, including multi-year team planning
Ability to ensure the development of an aligned tools strategy across both IT & production environment
Ability to manage internal purchasing & decision process for new IT tools, & applications
5+ years of experience managing a fleet of end user workstations
Experience in establishment of appropriate real time alerting & support structures for internal & customer facing applications
