About the Team

Founded in 2011, Stitch Fix (NASDAQ:SFIX) has grown into the global leader in online personal styling, with over $1.5B in annual turnover. In May 2019, Stitch Fix launched our first international arm in the UK. We are a young business with ambitious plans, & growing quickly. We are fortunate to have all the benefits of a start-up such as a fast-paced work culture & flexibility to experiment along with the resources of being part of an established, profitable company. The UK Marketing team is responsible for building our active client base & brand equity, by designing & executing a localised strategy with a suite of channels & programs.

About the Role

Stitch Fix UK is looking for a talented & highly-motivated Fashion Assistant to support our Marketing Editorial Lead. In this newly created role, you will be a stalwart member of the editorial team. Spearheading the organisation of the fashion cupboard, you will tenaciously request products for all on-fig & still life photoshoots, across menswear & womenswear, along with orchestrating the coordination of sample returns. You will assist on set during all location-based main fashion shoots, & will flex your styling prowess by supporting the creation of still-life imagery. You will also have a talent for copywriting, & will be willing to showcase your love for language by supporting the creation of original copy across a multitude of UK marketing assets. Based in London, you will collaborate with colleagues in other departments across the business (including Marketing, Creative, PR, Buying & Trading, Product Management, Styling, Warehouse Operations, CX).

You're excited about this opportunity because you will

  • Work full-time with 3-4 days per week at our London HQ, along with assisting on location shoots as required.
  • Support the Marketing Editorial Lead by managing the fashion cupboard, organising rails, unpacking deliveries & orchestrating returns.
  • Support the Marketing Editorial Lead on set by packing, steaming & prepping clothing, & assisting the models in dressing & undressing as directed.
  • Support the Marketing Editorial Lead by writing copy for current marketing assets & future business ventures.
  • Contribute to the development of creative assets, by assisting in the curation of still-life laydowns & on-figure styling, brainstorming future content ideas for the editorial calendar & creating trend decks for the coming season.
  • Tag photography decks for still life & on-figure photoshoots, ensuring the garments are correctly linked for our US imagery partners.
  • Source & order products from our UK warehouse & Leicester photo studios to meet editorial briefs & photoshoot requirements.
  • Source additional products through external partners, including PRs & 3rd party retailers.
  • Build partnerships with the wider UK Marketing & Comms Team (CRM, PR & Social) & Buying & Merchandise to support additional projects & understand greater business needs.
  • Build partnerships within our Leicester warehouse (both studio & operations staff) to assist with sample accessibility.
  • Build relationships with 3rd party photographers, assistants & hair & make-up artists.

Were excited about you because

  • You have 3+ years of full-time experience as a Fashion Assistant in an editorial setting or in a retail operations role with exposure to fashion & styling.
  • You have your finger on the pulse & can easily translate the latest trends through the Stitch Fix lens - youre commercially minded & tenacious about pulling the best possible product for every project.
  • You consistently turn chaos into calm & can confidently juggle multiple briefs, quickly shifting gears at a moment's notice. Youre not afraid to push up your sleeves & get stuck in.
  • You take ownership, are an inventive problem-solver & have a high level of accountability. You are highly self-motivated with a can-do attitude.
  • You thrive in a demanding, fast-paced environment & can manage competing priorities.
  • You are brilliant on set - from sensational steaming to speed packing, you can easily anticipate where your support is needed next & proactively manage up & across.
  • You possess a creative mindset & have leveraged it against building successful editorial themes & marketing concepts, translating customer insights & reactions into eye-catching visuals & eloquent writing.
  • You are a self-starter, eager to learn & develop alongside our growing business: to develop your copywriting skills to understand & learn the Stitch Fix tone of voice, to immerse yourself in the Stitch Fix culture.
  • Based in London & able to travel to external shoot locations as required.
  • Ideally, you hold a bachelor's degree in fashion, journalism, pr, art or design that has helped form your creative prowess.
