THE FANTERNSHIP - Summer 2022
We are seeking a dynamic, energetic, hard-working intern with the ability to think creatively, be proactive & make clear, well-reasoned decisions. We are looking for individuals that will go above & beyond to contribute to the success of this world class organization. He/she must also be able to work collaboratively as a team & be a self-starter.
 
Interns will present a mid-term & final presentation on their findings & future recommendations to the senior leadership team.
 
Internship positions are competitive & are paid positions. This internship is located in our NYC office with a hybrid schedule.

JOB SUMMARY
Our accounting & finance professionals are charged with taking a highly analytical approach towards financial data across every part of our business. We identify financial successes & opportunities, & then create detailed growth plans to reach & exceed our company goals. We bring numbers to life by developing innovative & strategic reporting as well as actionable insights for key stakeholders & executive leadership.
The intern will serve as an Analyst in the Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) organization - which is leading the financial reporting & consolidated metric-setting process across Fanatics.  You'll be a strategic operating partner to the Fanatics Holdings organization in supporting functional budgets, building-out our consolidation & reporting processes, & optimizing the capabilities for our team-wide financial systems. This role provides a fast-paced & continuous learning environment for you to leverage your expertise & develop project management & problem-solving capabilities.  This role will have executive level exposure & an opportunity to create new processes to help streamline FP&A team activities.  The role will report to the VP of FP&A for Fanatics Holdings.

GENERAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Assist with project management of the following activities across the FP&A function:

Partner with FP&A & Accounting on a team-wide exercise to establish an enterprise-wide consistent Chart of Accounts across Fanatics businesses

Assist the FP&A & Investor Relations team on building out our KPI metric tracking capabilities across Fanatics to be maintained on an on-going basis

Support our Sourcing function in establishing wing-to-wing process standardization & developing a deeper analytical framework to evaluate cost levers across our 3rd party vendor spend

Significant involvement in projects to improve/upgrade the Fanatics consolidated planning processes through systemic solutions

Assist in the creation of presentations to report monthly/quarterly results, future projections & strategic report-outs to Fanatics leadership

Help execute on ad hoc requests as assigned by Fanatics SVP of FP&A & Investor Relations and/or CFO
 
EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS
·       Pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or Business Administration
·       Prior experience in FP&A, Accounting/Controllership, Project Management roles desired
·       Passion & interest in sports
 
KNOWLEDGE SKILLS & ABILITIES
·       Proactive, hard-working, intellectually curious & results-oriented
·       Strong financial analysis & modeling skills
·       Experience in developing & reporting business performance metrics
·       Highly analytical, detail oriented & strong business sense; proven ability to develop new ideas, creative solutions & demonstrated experience implementing positive change
·       Ability to meet tight deadlines, prioritize workload & achieve effective results in a fast-paced, dynamic, environment; effective multi-tasking skills are vital
·       Excellent written & verbal communication skills
·       Team player with interpersonal ability to work with others & collaborate to achieve goals
·       Demonstrate a strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office products
