Job Summary

The manager of Business Intelligence will join a strong team of engineering leaders at CommerceHub. We are looking for someone who is eager to step in as a leader, understand & shape the Agile & Lean processes we follow, & can help drive the technology & product direction of the company. This person must be comfortable working with the business, Data Engineering & operations as partners to provide the best possible result for our customers. This individual will be leading a team of BI analysts & will be charged with providing guidance & mentoring to team members, being an active part of cross- team communication, & removing obstacles from product teams to ensure success.  

Responsibilities 

• Leading a team of BI Analysts in a dynamic, fast-paced environment   
• Understanding & driving Lean, Systems Thinking software engineering principals  
• Recruiting & hiring for team growth   
• Personal mentoring of team members, & establishing & maintaining a practice within the team of all senior individuals mentoring those junior to them   
• Promoting best practice within your team for CI/CD to ensure high-quality data visualization that can be easily delivered to production   
• Collaborating with data engineering & other technology leaders to help drive the direction of data analytics within the team & the company  
• Establishing a culture of continual learning & quality across the organization  
• Monitoring high-level projects to ensure in-flight projects are on track  
• Dropping down to a low level, when needed, to help direct your team members & keep projects on course 

Job Requirements

• BA degree in related field or 5+ years in a business analytics role, with 3 years as a Team Lead or Supervisor
• Preferred experience working with cloud technologies (AWS, Azure, GCP)  
• Strong working knowledge of highly scalable data warehouse products such as Snowflake, Amazon Redshift
• 5+ years experience with data visualization tools such as Looker, Tableau, PowerBI
• 5+ years experience with SQL coding languages such as TSQL, PostgreSQL, Athena
• 2+ years experience with scripting languages such as Python & R
• Experience with Continuous Delivery techniques & tools a plus
• Exceptional written & verbal communication skills
• Comfortable communicating across all levels of management
• Ability to prioritize tasks & work independently
• Excellent analytical, decision-making, & problem-solving skills 
• Proven ability to work in a rapidly changing environment with keen attention to detail
