Principal Sales Analyst Manager, Hotel Meta

The Accommodation Meta team is looking for an ambitious & exceptional Analyst, with a true passion for data, to join our Global Meta Auction Sales team. You will be leveraging your analytical superpowers to provide insights both externally to our key OTA & Hotel partners to help grow our partnership as well as internally to support our Auction Data Science & Product teams in their efforts to continuously enhance our Auction mechanisms & bidding algorithms.

What we are looking for

We are looking for an experienced, dynamic self-starter with a track record of successfully leveraging data & an analytical approach to solve problems & uncover opportunities. You have experience working with clients & managing external relationships on both a strategic & analytical level.  You are passionate about digging into data & using a data-driven approach to identify opportunities & drive improvements, big & small, to influence stakeholders.

Working in close collaboration with the Meta Success, Product & Data Science teams as well as other Meta Analytics team members around the globe you will need a desire to contribute to an open & collaborative working environment across time-zones, a passion for learning & for imparting your knowledge to others, & an innate ability to consistently & autonomously produce high quality deliverables.

Key Responsibilities/What youll do                                                                          

Campaign optimization & growth for key clients

  • Be accountable for understanding & managing campaign performance for your clients. Systematically perform deep dive analyses, leveraging data from various sources to identify both problem areas & growth opportunities. Build upon existing tools & methodologies the Meta Analytics team has created, & enhance & develop new ones as needed to keep up to date with both internal & client needs & objectives.

  • Communicate in a clear, concise manner recommendations for optimization & growth to your clients - through written studies & emails, during weekly client meetings, & in Quarterly Business Reviews & other forums which are often in front of various levels of leadership including C-suite executives.  Reliably drive & own necessary stakeholder management by facilitating prep work, analysis, & internal review meetings for client facing meetings to ensure proper preparation. Continuously work with the client to support them on executing their growth strategies & goals each quarter, while tracking & reporting on impact internally

  • Work closely with the Meta Success Manager to align on Account Strategy for your clients, with focus on building long term client relationships. Represent the voice of the client to internal stakeholders regularly, ensuring you advocate for their needs while seeking win-win solutions.

Internal analytics & strategy

  • Proactively contribute to the work of the wider Auction team, providing strategic insights, analysis & data driven recommendations & lead projects that support the Auction Pods goal of increasing competitiveness & health of the Meta auction 

  • Work closely with various Product teams to gain thorough knowledge & understanding about the relevant product initiatives & their impact to the overall Auction. Act as a Product subject matter expert both internally & externally with your clients

  • Work closely with analytics teams & other internal teams responsible for data sources, taking an active role in identifying business challenges & developing best practices to address/resolve these

Scaling the Meta Analytics teams work

  • Leverage Tableau & other tools to build out dashboards & data visualizations - for internal & external usage. Constantly look for ways to improve tools & methodologies used by the team with the goal of reducing the manual intervention needed to obtain data - freeing up bandwidth to focus on interpretation & analysis

  • Build out a library of go to custom SQL queries for the team to leverage to reduce the need for each MAM to start from scratch

Requirements

  • Master of Science in an analytical or technical field, with a minimum of 5 years experience in data analysis & in a client facing role 

  • Expert understanding of Tableau, SQL & MS Excel, to analyze large data sets & create visualizations

  • Excellent problem-solving & analytical skills. A proven track record of successfully & creatively leveraging a data driven approach to solve problems & create opportunities that align with the wider business objectives

  • Excellent communication & interpersonal skills with ability to influence stakeholders & collaborate virtually with clients & team members around the globe, sometimes requiring early morning or evening working hours

  • A fast learner, ideally with prior knowledge of the travel industry, who is resourceful & eager to make an impact in a large organization

  • A strong sense of ownership, comfort with ambiguity, & working with little supervision in a fast paced, global & highly dynamic environment where products & processes evolve rapidly

  • Results oriented, organized, flexible & open to change & new information; adapts behavior, work methods & priorities accordingly

  • Able to give & receive constructive feedback & embodies a growth mindset

  • Willingness to travel, domestically & internationally
