We are seeking a Principal Software Engineer to help build out our Engineering team. This role reports to our VP of Engineering & is responsible for defining, implementing, training, & executing against our engineering strategy, creating processes, & building tools within Fanatics Betting & Gaming. This role will also span the Growth / Shared Services / Internal Tooling Verticals. The Principal Software Engineer will be an expert technologist with experience in personalization.
Duties & responsibilities may include:
Develop a strong understanding of Fanatics Betting & Gaming.
Build out a best in class Engineering team, ensuring that this does not dilute ownership of quality within Engineering.
Communicate, develop, & implement a data-driven engineering strategy, approach, & roadmap for Engineering needs
Can oversee & drive complex architectures across multiple teams, companies & vendors.
Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders, inside & outside of Engineering, & collaborate with leaders to gather & present testing metrics & activities.
Provide leadership & technical expertise within the engineering team. Be a mentor & role model for Engineering.
Help development teams adhere to the principles, guidelines, & best practices of the engineering strategy.
Gather & present testing metrics & activities to key stakeholders.
Remain current on technology & trends in engineering
