Job Description

Responsible for deal & contract management of incentive agreements through the Sales/ Deal Process whilst ensuring:

  1. Compliance to IFR separation requirements,

  2. Adherence to financial governance framework,

  3. Accurate record keeping (progress tracking & adherence to controls) and,

  4. Accurate & timely execution of agreements to meet client expectations.

The role holder should be the subject matter expert on all aspects of incentive agreements pipeline management & provide advice & guidance to client facing staff & the wider community of stakeholders (Client Incentive Market Specialists, Business Units, Legal, Finance, Tax, GIG Members, Global teams outside of Europe) who support the sales process.

Client incentive agreements include, but not limited to: Growth agreements with issuers, acquirers, merchants: Visa Checkout incentive agreements; Visa Direct incentive agreements; Various other incentive agreements

What we expect of you, day to day

  • Strong understanding of the Cluster & Country specific market dynamics

  • Strong business acumen to understand the specifics of any deal that goes through the Deal Process

  • Anticipate subject matter expert & contract-specific questions & challenges

  • Challenge VTO-specific requests & act as business advisor to ensure only true exceptions get passed to VTO supported with the right quality data

  • Accountable for vetting the VTO input sheet

  • Communications & exchange of information between VEL & VTO

  • Act as expert on end-to-end contract management (inception to contract execution), managing complexity of procedure, alignment, & compliance with guidance only required in the most complex situations.

  • Responsible for ensuring assigned deals are progressed & tracked to deadlines, whilst working independently to resolve issues & influence senior stakeholders.

  • Delivery of subject matter expert advice, across sales process participants, on sales process, compliance requirements & principles & policies in relation to offer construction & contract development.

  • Responsible for anticipating, identifying & resolving issues of procedure, capacity, interpretation, misalignment or lack of technical understanding across the sales process stakeholders.

  • Ensure appropriate quality/validation on deal inputs & contracts by applying an in-depth understanding of separation requirement e.g. sensitive information.

  • Direct the client facing teams & Business Units in navigating the separation compliance requirements, & coordinating the aspects of the incentive agreement information that separation requires from teams across Visa.

  • Responsible for communicating across all stakeholders & ensuring compliance & commercial interests are both achieved in tight timescales.

  • Originate & contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across the end to end client incentive process.

  • Assimilate & apply change arising as a result of external factors (e.g. regulation) or internal direction (e.g. policy & process).


What we're after

  • Accurate record keeping (progress tracking & adherence to controls) with strong administrative skills

  • Strong Project Management Experience

  • Proven track record in the coordination & successful management of projects

  • Proven Track record of enabling change

  • Strong general knowledge of payments business & Visa processes & Regulation

  • Some RfP response exposure & understanding of component parts

  • Detailed understanding of purpose & role of incentive agreements

  • Significant experience of principles underpinning financial offer construction & good grasp of the commercial contracting principles that shape & underpin any deal

  • Demonstrable experience of contract creation/management

  • Significant business administration capabilities & communication skills

  • Ability to influence & direct stakeholders at all levels

  • Attention to detail with methodical approach

  • Familiar with & play book

  • Excellent MS Office Skills
