About the role:

At Dig, our numbers team works to analyze & validify best practices through the food we serve. As a part of this exciting group, the Staff Accountant plays a pivotal role in supporting our core operations. The Staff Accountant will support the Assistant Controller & Senior Accountant in the Month-End Closing Process. Key responsibilities include performing A/R & A/P functions, preparing daily journal entries, monthly balance sheet & bank reconciliations. You Will:

  • Support Assistant Controller & Senior Accountant in Month End Closing Process
  • Perform Accounts Payable functions (invoice entry, managing vendor disputes, initiating payments/ weekly check runs)
  • Perform Accounts Receivable functions (billing house account customers, maintaining customer relationships)
  • Prepare daily sales journal entries & reconcile data in the Accounting System to Point of Sale
  • Prepare Month-End Balance Sheet & Bank Reconciliations
  • Record various Journal Entries (including but not limited to Prepaids, Depreciation Expenses & Accrued Expense entries)
  • Assist Senior Accountant in preparation of weekly profit & loss statement
  • Assist in the preparation of schedules & support for annual audits
  • Provide insight & analysis to various facets of our restaurants performance

You Have:

  • A Bachelors degree is required, Bachelors Degree in Accounting or Finance is preferred
  • 2 years or more experience in Accounting
  • The ability to multi-task in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • The ability to be flexible & adaptable to changing priorities
  • Excellent communication & interpersonal skills to effectively communicate across all levels of the company
  • Proficiency on excel & accounting platforms
  • A keen eye for detail & strong organizational structure to prioritization of tasks
  • A love for the restaurant industry, past experience a plus
