About the Role

Our data team is growing & we are looking for an experienced Manager, Business Intelligence & Automation to take our reporting, analytics & automation capabilities to the next level. The Business Intelligence & Automation team broadly supports business functions at HelloFresh Canada (e.g., Product, Procurement, Production, Logistics, Marketing) by delivering best-in-class data products to enable process automation & decision-making. Reporting to the Senior Manager, Data, Analytics & Insights, the Manager, Business Intelligence & Automation will lead a team of business analysts to design, build, deploy, & maintain data products & automation solutions for our business partners.

You will:

• Conduct all team management activities, including talent acquisition, performance management, career development, & upskilling
• Collaborate with stakeholders to identify & prioritize business needs & opportunities for automation or reporting solutions
• Manage full portfolio of data products, including dashboards & automated solutions, monitoring use, access, & user acceptance
• Lead the design, build & deployment of reporting & automation projects using various tools, incl. Python, SQL, Google Sheets, AppScript, & Databricks
• Provide coaching & guidance to team resources on all aspects of reporting & automation applications
• Liaise with Global & regional BI & automation teams to identify opportunities for collaboration, support, & code reviews

At a minimum, you have: 

• 1-2 years of experience leading & coaching teams, hiring & managing talent, & building career plans 
• 2-3 years of experience leading business intelligence & automation projects & mentoring junior resources
• Demonstrated experience identifying business opportunities for automation or reporting solutions, scoping & prioritizing projects, building business cases, & staffing projects with the appropriate team members / skills
• Experience delivering quantifiable value for various stakeholder groups
• Experience building team strategies & operating models with business partners
• Intermediate Python or JavaScript
• Advanced SQL Querying
• BSc in a STEM discipline or equivalent work experience

Hybrid Work Approach

At HelloFresh, we know that flexible work arrangements are essential in enabling you to do your best work, while balancing your personal & life needs. Offering remote work flexibility for our employees is a core part of creating a great employee experience. We are also mindful that many employees thrive on in-person interactions & collaboration opportunities at the office (e.g. new joiners, team building, social events, experiencing our product). 

To meet those needs, we are pleased to provide a Hybrid Work Approach, which enables employees to work from home up to 50% of the time, & also work remotely (within Canada) up to four weeks per year. During the COVID-19 pandemic, our HQ employees are primarily working remotely from home & we have the office open & available on a voluntary basis for employees who wish to work from there. Pending public health guidelines, we expect to return to the office using our Hybrid Work Approach. Employees will receive a minimum of one months notice of our Hybrid Work Approach taking effect & when employees will be expected to start work from the office.
