THE POSITION:

The Commercial Analyst will work closely with the Commercial Manager to support the sportsbook commercial strategy & act as liaison with the different stakeholders to ensure that it gets properly implemented across the organization (e.g. marketing, product, risk & trading, customer operations). At the same time, he/she will be responsible for monitoring the business performance, spot trends/criticalities & report periodically to the leadership team.

THE GAME PLAN:
Everyone on our team has a part to play

  • Work with other analysts to provide support for commercial function including business cases, insights, & help to understand key drivers of business performance
  • Create, modify & evolve models & data visualizations to support commercial negotiations, provide additional context to key stakeholders (internal & external), & better understand day-today performance of various KPIs
  • Monitor the business performance, key drivers & trends, & report regularly to the leadership team
  • Understand the FanDuel sportsbook customer experience end to end (e.g. media, registration funnel, funding, odds, UX, promos, CS) & always look for further improvements
  • Create & maintain automated reporting processes visible to group-wide teams
  • Participate in presentations focused on using analysis to drive new business outcomes
  • Field & fulfill requests for various business inquiries

THE STATS:
What we're looking for in our next teammate

  • Bachelors Degree preferred
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in commercial/analytics/customer intelligence is preferable
  • Strategic Mind-set: takes a long-term view & anticipates future trends & implications
  • Collaborates: is a team player - works with the team & stakeholders across the organization to get things done
  • Commercial acumen: advanced understanding of business principles & understand the levers
  • Proficient with SQL & other analytic tools (e.g. KNIME, Python, R)
  • Experience in online businesses/ecommerce
  • Passionate about sport and/or gambling
  • Understand the different components of a P&L & is familiar with the budgeting process
  • Understand the fundamentals of online marketing

The applicable salary range for this position is $70,000 to $100,000 which is dependent on a variety of factors including relevant experience, location, business needs & market demand. This role may also be eligible for short-term or long-term incentive compensation.
