The Staff Accountant will contribute to the timely & accurate financial reporting function of the Company.  This role will be responsible for many areas of the accounting function & will be required to work cross functionally with other teams both inside & outside of Finance.  The ideal candidate will be disciplined & process-oriented with a high level of enthusiasm, professionalism, & integrity.  The role demands a highly organized & detailed individual that is capable of multi-tasking & meeting deadlines consistently.

• Ensure timely close of the general ledger including the preparation of journal entries, account reconciliations & analyses
• Validate Accounts Payable invoices processed using Coupa, Acquias vendor management system
• Partner with the business units to ensure accurate & timely expense & accrual recognition by following up on open items, missing POs & other data
• Oversee corporate credit card program, using Ramp, Acquias credit card processor
• Assist FP&A in the monthly review of financials with department heads
• Participate in ad hoc accounting responsibilities & tasks as needed

Education & Experience:

• Bachelors degree in accounting
• 2-3 years experience in a fast-paced accounting environment, preferably with experience in a US software company

Job Knowledge & Skills:

• Coupa procurement, Sage Intacct accounting software (or other SAAS-based ERP solutions) experience a significant plus
• In-depth understanding of US generally accepted accounting principles
• Experience with complex expense recognition in a SaaS environment is a must
• Strong attention to detail & problem-solving/data analysis capabilities is vital for the role
• Superior oral & written communications skills
• Ability to work independently & cross functionally with teams in a fast-paced, high-volume environment with an emphasis on accuracy & timeliness
• Exceptional work ethic with professional demeanor & attitude
